Reese Witherspoon‘s Hello Sunshine says it’s pouring “rocket fuel” on creator careers with its new incubator program.

But I think a little of that rocket fuel might spill over to her, too.

In case you haven’t heard, Hello Sunshine (the media brand Witherspoon co-founded in 2012 and sold to Candle Media for $900 million in 2021) just launched the Hello Sunshine Collective, a program exclusive to female digital content creators and entrepreneurs.

The inaugural class tapped 15 creators, including Valkyrae, Yolanda Gampp of How To Cake It, and Joanne Molinaro aka The Korean Vegan. All 15 participants will get support in areas like marketing, strategic partnerships, and Dtc retail,...

Hello Sunshine Launches Incubator For Female Content Creators and Entrepreneurs (Exclusive)
Image
Having had proven success with launching such female-founded brands as Reese’s Book Club, Shine Away, The Home Edit and Fair Play, Hello Sunshine is now looking to use its golden touch to help more women content creators.

The Hello Sunshine Collective is an incubator that offers a customized mentorship experience that helps entrepreneurial women take their brands to the next level through amplifying their unique and personal narratives, using support across Hello Sunshine’s vast network of resources in content creation, marketing, business strategy, strategic partnerships and other advice from the company’s leadership.

“I often think of the lost stories of my grandmother’s and mother’s generation that weren’t told simply because of the lack of opportunities for women to create and distribute their art. These artists and entrepreneurs had such limited experiences and opportunities for expression during that time,” Hello Sunshine founder Reese Witherspoon said in a statement.

How ‘Crime Scene Kitchen’ Season 2 Winners Took Home the $100,000 Prize Despite Baking the Wrong Mystery Dessert
Image
Spoiler Alert: This interview contains spoilers from the Season 2 finale of Fox’s “Crime Scene Kitchen.”

While the final bake of Fox’s “Crime Scene Kitchen” Season 2 turned out to be a “Dark and Stormy” cake, inspired by the cocktail of the same name, it was a light and sunny treat for contestants Amber Croom and Yassmeen Haskins.

The classically trained baking duo beat out the other two teams competing for the Joel McHale-hosted mystery baking competition’s second-season trophy in Monday’s finale episode, titled “I Need a Drink.” And they did it without even making the exact right recipe, as they had first decided to make a “Dark and Stormy” cake, they pivoted to a piña colada-flavored version when they started to doubt their detective work.

“The hardest one was the finale cake bake because there was so many elements to it,” Haskins told Variety. “And we...

Joel McHale and Yolanda Gampp on Getting Salty in ‘Crime Scene Kitchen’ Season 2 With Savory Dish Twist
Image
In Fox’s “Crime Scene Kitchen,” it’s not (entirely) about who wins or loses the most-delicious-baked-good portion, it’s about how you play the baking-detective game.

For the second season, which premieres Monday at 9 p.m., host Joel McHale and judge Yolanda Gampp said the competition becomes even harder, as it includes both self-taught and classically trained bakers who come at deciphering the mystery baked goods in very different ways. This season also throws savory recipes into the mix in an attempt to trip up contestants who saw only sweet treats featured in Season 1.

“The new bakers all saw the show, and I will say a lot of them swore they could do it,” McHale, who also hosted the first season of “Crime Scene Kitchen” back in 2021, told Variety. “It’s just like anything you see while you’re watching it at home, you’re like, ‘I can do that,...

10 Fun Reality Shows You Didn't Know Were On Hulu
Image
With new original content like Best in Dough and shows from so many other networks available, Hulu has a case for being the best place to go for quality reality television. While it is home to major shows like The Kardashians, The Masked Singer, and Hot Ones, there are so many more when you dive a bit deeper.

Since there is so much content there, it's easy to overlook some of the less popular reality shows on the streaming service. They might not be all that well known in general or maybe they just aren't shows you realized were on Hulu but they're all fun.

Hotties (2022-)

A new reality show that isn't all that well known is Hotties, which blends together two popular concepts. It takes the idea of eating foods that has made Hot Ones so famous and mixes it with blind dates, which has always been the rage in the genre.

What We Know About The Upcoming Crime Scene Kitchen Season 2 So Far
Image
Fox premiered Crime Scene Kitchen, a new reality baking competition, in May 2021, and now fans are excited about the renewal of another season. The series follows bakers who have to decode the type of dessert prepared in a kitchen using only crumbs, flour trails, and some clues. Viewers were delighted by the investigative nature of the competition and were trying to figure out if there would be more.

With these clues, the bakers need to recreate the desserts that were made there. Each episode has two rounds, the dessert round and the showpiece round. The team that gets closest to identifying the correct dessert in the first round is awarded an extra clue in the showpiece round. Anyone who guesses the right dessert in the showpiece round is then safe from elimination. The bakers who guessed incorrectly are judged by taste, and whoever performed the worst is sent home. With...

Fox Renews ‘Crime Scene Kitchen’ For Season 2
Image
Fox has ordered a second season of Crime Scene Kitchen, a baking competition series hosted by Joel McHale.

The show is a culinary guessing game in which bakers must decode what type of dessert was made, when all that’s left are the crumbs, flour trails and a few clues. They must then recreate the recipe for the judges, who will determine how closely it matches the missing dessert.

The show featured Chef Curtis Stone and cake artist Yolanda Gampp as judges.

“Crime Scene Kitchen is unlike any cooking show out there,” said Fox’s Head of Reality Rob Wade before the show’s debut last May. “It’s a truly original format with amazing baking creations, a brilliant play-along guessing game for the whole family, and Joel at the center of it all bringing hilarity at every turn. Just don’t watch it if you’re feeling hungry!”
