The second season of Tracker ended its run this past Sunday with Colter Shaw returning home to Echo Ridge. While Justin Hartley's Colter was back in his hometown to solve a case involving missing children from across the country, the world-famous rewardist eventually stumbled upon a world-shattering discovery of his own in the season finale. The CBS procedural has already been renewed for a third season which will certainly look to unpack what the newly unraveled Shaw family secret means for Colter and his siblings. Now, we know when production begins on the new season. Wendy Crawford as Mary Dove Shaw and Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw in the ‘Tracker’ season 2 finale

Colter’s still trying to figure out who the phone number hidden in his dad’s journal belongs to as CBS’s Tracker season two episode 20, the season finale, opens. David was a research scientist, but there’s not much available on his work. Randy did find that he lived in Hampton, Va before he moved to California. Randy’s spidey senses are in overdrive since that’s near Langley. David could have worked for (or with) the government. Randy promises to continue researching David’s history.

The season finale’s case finds Colter (Justin Hartley) heading back home to Echo Ridge. His mom, Mary (Wendy Crewson), points...

Tracker: Here's How Much Money Colter Has Made from Every Job
Image
Tracker's lead protagonist, Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley), has earned many notable cash rewards, and the full sum might surprise fans. As a rewards seeker, Colter is hired by clients (mostly desperate family members) to find their missing loved ones in exchange for a fee. Sometimes, though, Colter chooses not to collect the reward because he believes that helping his clients matters more to him.

After earning the reward money, Colter splits the payment among the rest of his team, which includes lawyer Reenie Greene (Fiona Rene), his handler Velma (Abby McEnany), and resident hacker Bobby Exley (played by Eric Graise who was missing in action in the latter episodes of Tracker Season 2). It is unknown what percentage of the reward each member gets, but given Colter's heavy lifting, he is assumed to get a good chunk of the money.

Tracker Season 3 Will Make 1 Key Change to Colter's Team
Image
Tracker Season 2, Episode 18 revealed a game-changing development for Colter Shaw’s core team of experts ahead of the series' already-confirmed Season 3. One of the much-talked-about storylines of Tracker Season 2 mainly revolved around Bobby Exley's absence from Colter's team due to a personal emergency, leading to the debut of his cousin Randy as his replacement to become the team's resident hacker.

Eric Graise's absence as Bobby led fans to be concerned about his status in Season 2, considering that the actor was absent for six straight episodes (which broke a discouraging Tracker record).

During his absence, Randy took the spotlight and cemented himself as a worthy new addition to Colter's team, with him even saving his life several times in various missions.

What Happened To Bobby On Tracker? His Absence, Explained
Image
Paramount has found success with more conservative-leaning shows in recent years, with the most prominent example being "Yellowstone" and its vast universe of spin-offs. Of course, if you're going to venture into entertainment specifically designed for middle America, you're inevitably going to produce some sort of survivalist-led series, which is exactly what we've got in the form of "Tracker."

The show stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, the titular survivalist who makes a living by tracking down missing people for both law enforcement and everyday citizens, collecting the rewards and delivering a healthy dose of ass-kickery and machismo in the process. But unlike another itinerant all-American hero, Alan Ritchson's Jack Reacher (the best on-screen version of the character), Shaw isn't a complete lone-wolf, relying on a support team that includes his "man in the chair" Bobby Exley (Eric Graise).

Working out of a tech repair store in Chicago, Bobby...

Its first season topped CBS ratings as the most-watched scripted series with an average of over eight million viewers per episode, and the second season kept the ball rolling with the most-watched premiere of the 2024-25 broadcast season. Is ‘Tracker’s Bobby Exley Ever Coming Back?
Image
Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for Tracker Season 2, Episode 13.For fans of Tracker, part of the reason that Colter Shaw’s (Justin Hartley) adventures are always so engaging is that his supporting cast keeps him on his toes. While Justin Hartley could no doubt lead the show all by himself, it helps that he has allies who he can rely on. With a great team behind him, Colter manages to find his mark each episode, and he couldn't do it without their help. But while Season 2 has already written off Robin Weigert's Teddi Bruin at the start of the season, the show has recently stepped away from another main cast member: Eric Graise's Bobby Exely. The problem is, we have no idea when he'll be back, if ever.

Why 'Tracker' Season 2 Isn’t Living up to Season 1
Image
Tracker offers a great mix of traditional procedural and high-action drama. The series, based on the Jeffrey Deaver novel The Never Game, has drawn comparisons to Reacher. The Strong Shaw Family Narrative Is Missing in 'Tracker' Season 2

The key reason fans are growing impatient with Season 2 is that while the procedural nature remains, with every episode following Colter taking...
