An aspiring Filmmaker with roots in Cinematography, Black & white photography, Directing & Producing. Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan a product of the 80's always curious and anxious to know what else is out there. He grew up as a grunge rock rebellion of the 90's with inspiration from Kurt Cobain and Chris Cornell which lead him to dig deeper into his creative side. Dabbling with paint, charcoal & pastels made the connection he wanted with the world yet still aloof. Once a camera became his mechanical eye at age 16 that is when the film making bug actually took form. Taking inspiration from Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorcese, Danny Boyle, Park Chan- Wook & Gasper Noe to name a few. Having such a broad love of cinema from all parts of the world Khan aspires to bring together a seamless collaboration of story, production design & cinematography highlighted in his favorite films. Starting his career in Pakistan focusing on multiple music & addiction documentaries in one of the country's premiere music channels his move to Chicaggo at the age of 23 makes him the artist he is today. Starting off in the boom of television in the mid-west in a city like Chicago propelled Usuf to make his eventual move to Los Angeles in 2017 where he has extensively worked in the Art Department & finished some features as an Assistant Director honing his craft to begin work on his first feature film end of 2019.
