- Drawing and painting are among Keila's favorite activities ever. Most of it has being self-taught, but she also took two years of drawing and painting classes in high school.
- Spanish is Keila's first language, as she is Dominican. However, she learned English years before moving to the US, as her parents made sure to prepare her and her siblings for this important transition. From a young age, Keila also received French lessons while attending private school in DR. She later reinforced this knowledge by taking two years of French in high school.
- From year 2014 to 2016, Keila worked part-time as a runway and print agency-represented fashion model. She posed for the lenses of several renowned photographers in the Miami area. In addition she had the opportunity to walk a few local fashion shows and appeared in some campaigns.
- Although she was born in Dominican Republic, Keila became a US citizen in 2011. Therefore, she holds double citizenship.
- When Keila was a teenager, she was diagnosed with scoliosis and underwent spinal fusion surgery on October 22nd, 2004 at Nicklaus Children's Hospital (formerly known as Miami Children's Hospital). In order to fully recover, she had to withdraw from high school during her freshman year and was homeschooled for a few months. Keila soon went back to Miami Sunset Senior High School and graduated in 2008, with a Superintendent's Diploma of Distinction for being part of the top 20% of her class.
- Keila launched her personal style blog titled 'K as in Keila' in 2013. Two years later, she decided to close it down in order to focus on other projects.
- Keila has changed her stage name a few times. First it was Keila Loren, then Keila Pérez and finally, she decided to work under the name: Keila Lorena.
