Lagad won the gold medal match over Maharashtra’s Rudrankksh B. Patil with a 17-9 score in his favour, the National Rifle Association of India (Nrai) informed in a release on Monday.

New Delhi, Oct 23 (Ians) India won silver and a bronze in the Women’s 25m Pistol Team and the Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions (3P) events respectively on competition day 11 of the Issf World Championship Rifle/Pistol at the Egypt International Olympic City (Eioc) Shooting Range in Cairo on Sunday.
With this win, India ended their Paris 2024 Olympics quota quest at two from the championship. Their tally now stands at 12 gold, nine silver and 13 bronze medals.

Lucknow, Oct 2 (Ians) The first skin bank in Uttar Pradesh will soon come up at the King George’s Medical University and will aid in the speedy recovery of burns’ patients.
Prof Vijay Kumar, Head of Department, plastic surgery, King George’s Medical University (Kgmu) said, “The process is going on to procure a walk-in-fridge, van for transporting skin and other equipment. The skin bank is planned in a 1500-square feet area in the department.”
He further said construction work of the building as well as and the process of procurement of other equipment, including bio safety cabinet, skin donation vehicle, cold room, sealer, shaking incubator, dermatome, walk-in fridge has started.
The state’s first skin bank is likely to start functioning within three to four months and will prove to be a boon for critically injured patients.
The skin bank is being developed using the corporate social responsibility (Csr) fund.

Actor Vijay Kumar, who shot to limelight with his critically acclaimed superhit film ‘Uriyadi, has completed shooting for his next film that is being directed by director Thamizh of ‘Seththumaan’ fame.
Sources close to the actor say that the film, which is yet to be titled, was shot in a single stretch in and around Ambur in Tamil Nadu in a matter of 62 days.
The film is being produced by Reel Good Films which has already worked once with actor Vijaykumar.
Sources say the just completed film will have equal doses of politics, action and romance in it.
‘Ayodhi’ fame Preethi Asrani and newcomer Richa Joshi play the female leads in this new film that will also feature ‘Vathikuchi’ fame Dhiliban, ‘Kaithi’ fame George Mariyan, and ‘Vada Chennai’ fame Paval Navaneethan.
Govind Vasantha, who scored the music for the blockbuster ’96’, is scoring music for this film while Mahendran Jayaram is handling its cinematography.

New Delhi, Aug 12 (Ians) The Anti-Narcotics Task Force of the Crime Branch of Delhi that launched a week-long drive to curb drug menace has arrested six persons including two African nationals along with drugs valued at Rs 10 crore, an official said on Thursday.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Shampen Singh, Suman, Arpan a.k.a. Bablu, Vijay Kumar, and African nationals –Vitalis Chinedu and Caleb Mazie Ogbuagu.
Dcp K.P.S. Malhotra said that four operations have been conducted against the drug cartel active in hotspot areas of drug trafficking — Mangolpuri-Sultanpuri and Laxmi Nagar.
A team led by Inspector Rakesh Duhan got the tip-off following which the raids were conducted.
