Joseph A. Olivera is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. One of four children, he was raised in a Northwest suburb of Chicago. He started his career in 2004, attending Chicago's famous The Second City e.t.c., where he learned the fundamentals of improv and acting before moving to California to attend the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. His additional training extended to Piven Theatre in Evanston, Ill., and The Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg, from which he graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics in 2011.
Joseph is recognized for his appearance in season 1 of the Fox Network serial drama Prison Break and LG Electronics home appliance videos but is best known for "Indemnify," his short film entry submitted for the HBO series Project Greenlight in 2014. Even though "Indemnify" did not win or place, his team proudly produced the short in less than three weeks on a budget of only $300.
Joseph continues to write, direct, and produce marketing campaign materials, commercials, and training videos for businesses in and around the Chicagoland area. In early 2022 he moved to the greater Atlanta area to lend and showcase his creative talents and video production skills.
