Pirates of the Caribbean 6: Casting Rumors and Everything Else We Know About This Sequel (or reboot)
Additional reporting by Chris Bumbray
Drink up me hearties, yo ho, as the question of whether or not we’ll ever get a Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is a complicated one. The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise was one of Disney’s biggest long-shots back when it first premiered in 2003, yet it eventually turned into one of the most profitable franchises that the studio could have ever hoped for. While the first film is still arguably the pinnacle of the entire franchise, it doesn’t mean that fans and audiences haven’t enjoyed watching the sequels as the decades have rolled on.
That being said, Pirates of the Caribbean hasn’t released a new instalment in nearly 6 years and fans are starting to get a little antsy about when they’ll get to return to the briny deep. Of course, audiences can’t be too hasty as the franchise...

Al Ortiz, a longtime veteran of CBS News, is returning to the CBS Evening News as interim executive producer, taking the place of Jay Shaylor, who stepped down from the Norah O’Donnell-anchored newscast earlier this month.
Ortiz previously served as executive producer of CBS Evening News with Dan Rather from 1998 to 2001, and for the past seven years has been the vice president of standards and practices.
Neeraj Khemlani, president and co-head of CBS News and Stations, said in a memo to staffers, “As we looked to identify the strongest leader for the ‘CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell,’ it was critical to find a steady hand who could uphold the standards that have been set for this broadcast over many generations.”
Khemlani noted that Ortiz worked with O’Donnell before the newscast moved to Washington in late 2019. He started at the network in 1977 at CBS News Radio.

Jay Shaylor is leaving CBS as executive producer of CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell, the latest change in the news and stations division under new presidents Wendy McMahon and Neeraj Khemlani.
“Jay Shaylor is leaving the company,” the network said in a statement. “We thank him for his contributions to the broadcast and for helping develop it into the impactful program it is today.”
Shaylor was named EP of CBS Evening News in September, 2019, just a couple months after O’Donnell took over as anchor of the nightly broadcast. The show moved from New York to Washington, and O’Donnell has landed a number of big get interviews since then, but it is still in third place. The network said that the broadcast as “in its best competitive position in years,” as CBS has promoted the narrowing of the audience gap between CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt.

Jay Shaylor, the executive producer of “CBS Evening News,” has stepped down from his post, one of the first significant rearrangements of top producers at the ViacomCBS news division since it was placed under the aegis of new top executives.
“Jay Shaylor is leaving the company. We thank him for his contributions to the broadcast and for helping develop it into the impactful program it is today,” CBS News said in a statement. Shaylor joined CBS News after serving many years at CNN, where he supervised “The Situation Room,” the long-running early-evening program led by Wolf Blitzer that competes directly with the broadcast networks’ evening-news programs.
“CBS Evening News,” led by Norah O’Donnell, has seen its viewership improve over the course of the coronavirus pandemic, and it has become one of the most-watched programs on ViacomCBS’ CBS broadcast network. At the same time, the evening-news program, which has historical ties...

Hannah Brown and Elizabeth Turner and Ireland Borba, oh my! If you're like the rest of us, it's hard to keep track of all the recent dating rumors surrounding Bachelor Nation's Tyler Cameron. The fitness hunk spent some time at the beginning of quarantine with his rosy ex, Hannah, but The Bachelorette star set the record straight in October by explaining they were "leaning on each other" during traumatic periods in their lives. Tyler said last month they're just "friends." He revealed on the Chicks in the Office podcast, "I will be happy to show you guys my dating life and share it with you... but I gotta get a date. All (post-Romero) zombies are cannibals, but not all cannibals are zombies. This is an important distinction to note for your trading card set, as well for discerning Italian horror cinema. As a youth, I thought it was only the undead with a taste for flesh; that is, until I saw Cannibal Holocaust (1980) and Cannibal Ferox (‘81), two sweet and unassuming films where the living sate their hunger by eating douchey interlopers in various jungle settings. The first especially stands out due to a layer of social commentary splashed about, fighting to be seen in between the real animal slayings and crafted carnage. But it’s there and it’s potent; as it is with Cannibal Apocalypse (’80), an allegorical tale of the inner destruction that the Vietnam War wrought on those who survived. That, and a whole lot of flesh ripping.
