The highly anticipated “Outlander” prequel finally has a premiere date. “Outlander: Blood of My Blood” will air on Starz on Aug. 8, 2025.

Centered around the parents of Jamie Fraser and Claire Beauchamp, “Blood of My Blood” takes place across two timelines: the battlefields of World War I and the Highlands of 18th century Scotland. It will follow the budding romance between Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) as well as the one between Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy).

The teaser, the images, and the casting all have us so excited to see what's in store in this story. We can't wait! And though there's already been multiple first-look images released, Starz has shared some new photos for us to feast our eyes on.

Of course they don't give much away, but it's still nice to have some new images from the upcoming series to look at. Blood of My Blood will premiere sometime in summer 2025 on Starz. Outlander how Jamie's parents have an epic love story.

The Outlander spinoff series, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, certainly sounds intriguing, but a couple of additional characters are needed to make the story work. With Claire and Jamie's story coming to a close, it's time to expand this fictional world into new TV shows, and Blood of My Blood is Starz's answer. So far, it has been revealed that the series will bounce between Jamie and Claire's parents—one couple set in the 18th century and the other in the 20th. Blood of My Blood will, therefore, feature an array of new characters, but two that are more familiar would be a meaningful touch.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood will star Jamie Roy and Harriet Slater as Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie, respectively, as well as Hermione Corfield and Jeremy Irvine as Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp. The Outlander series has already revealed tidbits about these characters' stories.

Jamie and Claire's story is a romance at its core, but there is so much more to this than just that. It's fantasy and history, drama and romance, but Outlander also bends the expectations of reality. This makes the star-crossed lover's angle so much more impactful because it's clear that these characters never should have found each other—but also couldn't avoid doing so. The streamer has acquired medical drama Doc, British crime drama Dope Girls, police thriller Long Bright River, the Jacob Elordi-starring Narrow Road to the Deep North and Outlander prequel Outlander: Blood of My Blood.

Production on the eighth and final installment of Starzs hit historical drama Outlander has finally wrapped. This comes ahead of the shows mid-season return on Nov. 22 for the second half of Season 7, which will conclude its 16-episode run on January 10, 2025.

Posted on Instagram, Starz also shared behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Outlander Season 8, featuring the main cast, including Sam Heughan and Caitrona Balfe, as they completed shooting their final scenes for the series. Each of them can be seen holding a clapboard, where theyve written the things they want to take from the set. “Outlander” will wrap up its eight-season run soon, but the timeless love story of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) will continue on — through the love stories of their parents on “Outlander: Blood of My Blood.” Starz released the first images from the prequel spin-off series Thursday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

Set in two different time periods, “Outlander: Blood of My Blood” will feature the parallel love stories of Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), and Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy).
