There is never a moment when President Tom Kirkman isn't in fear of someone close betraying him.
That doesn't change on Designated Survivor Season 2 Episode 19 when another friend may be guilty of betrayal.
Yes, we're talking about Dr. Andrea Frost.
Gosh, dangit, she was a fabulous addition to Kirkman's most inner circle, and the chemistry between them was heartening, to say the least.
But could she be the one behind betraying him? We're led to believe so.

I'm holding out that it's a misdirect because it will break my heart if it's true.
Fans have watched how much Kirkman has been affected by his late wife's death on Designated Survivor Season 2 Episode 11, but his grief has led him into murky waters and led to some contentious decisions.
One of those decisions was declaring war on the wrong country on a whim.

Well now.
The last 20 minutes of Designated Survivor Season 2 Episode 16 shook things up, didn't they? An explosion and another tragic death were the least of the hour's shocking moments when you compare them to the character development that has taken place.
Though I can't resist pointing out that in our real government everyone gets terminated, resigns, or are taken out by some scandal or another, in this fictional world, everyone dies!
The hour was meant to pick up where Designated Survivor Season 2 Episode 15 left off with Kirkman and the gang discovering that a dirty bomb was somewhere out there in the good ole' United States and realizing that there was limited time to find it.
You know, just your typical Wednesday.
I'll take this moment to point out that Aaron has somehow become my favorite character. It could be because I'm a sucker for underdogs, and he still is plagued...

Kirkman is back at it with kicking butt and taking names in an acceptable manner.
And Kim Raver's Andrea Frost is back on the Designated Survivor Season 2 Episode 15.
Tensions between two opposing countries may possibly lead the Us into war if Kirkman can't de-escalate matters.
East and West Hanchu [cants head to the side and blinks profusely] are at odds and one of these nations have launched a missile on the day of a summit.
Message received, Hanchu, message received.

Kirkman will have to determine which Hanchu is responsible, and he threatens that if one of the countries refuses to comply, he will see it as a declaration of war. Oh, snap!
The nefarious hacker plot continues when another leak sends the White House staff reeling.
There is a dirty bomb somewhere in the United States and it needs to found with expediency, dammit!
Somewhere Hannah is kicking ass and...

Bloody hell that was dull.
I cannot believe that we had to sit through all of Designated Survivor Season 2 Episode 12 only for the "Kirkman being menacing to the drunk driver who killed Alex" fiasco to be teased at the end of the hour.
The best thing that came out of this installment was Kim Raver's appearance. Otherwise, it was colossally dull.
By the end of the hour, I had to remove my dog from my keyboard. The poor guy was so bored he fell asleep five minutes in. I envied him.
Meanwhile, I spent the rest of the hour watching with glazed over eyes and listening to doggie snores.
The crisis of the installment was the hacking of a spacecraft. You would think with hacking and space combined it would be something of interest, but that was not the case here, unfortunately.
Oh right, and the Russians were thrown in too.

The clock is ticking, a crisis is brewing and Kim Raver is at Kiefer Sutherland’s side. Sound warmly familiar…?
Tonight on Designated Survivor (ABC, 10/9c), 24 alum Raver makes her debut as Dr. Andrea Frost, an Elon Musk-type tech entrepreneur whom President Kirkland turns to for solutions when a missile tasked with delivering water to astronauts stranded in space is hacked.
Press play above to get an exclusive sneak peek at Sutherland’s reunion with his onetime 24 leading lady.
“A nice friendship will be struck up there,” Designated Survivor showrunner Keith Eisner previously told TVLine of the Tom/Andrea dynamic.

President Kirkman is a broken man.
When Designated Survivor Season 2 Episode 11 returns from hiatus, Kirkman will have to face his most difficult task to date: carrying on without the love of his life.
Alex Kirkman was killed in a devastating car accident, and from the promo, it appears as if Kirkman may hold someone responsible. The therapist that his Senior Staff has urged him to see inquires if Kirkman blames someone specifically for the accident.
We also catch a glimpse of Tom waking a sleeping Penny and tell her the devastating news about her mother passing away.
Is Tom fit enough to run in a country through his grief?
If you look closely, you'll see Kim Raver. Raver will play Andrea Frost, and she's expected to make her grand appearance in Designated Survivor Season 2 Episode 12, but the promo gives us a little taste of her.
Hannah has her hands full,...

Designated Survivor fans, have you caught today's new episode on Netflix UK? Here's a glimpse ahead at the next...
In the first season of Designated Survivor, Tom Kirkman (the legendary Kiefer Sutherland) was only the Secretary of Housing & Urban Development, but he became President Of The United States in what can only be described as a very dramatic take on King Ralph - everyone above him in the line of succession was killed in a terrorist attack that for some reason Jack Bauer was unable to prevent, and now Kirkman's the man in charge.
