Slusher was born on the Navajo Indian reservation in 1963 and spent most of his childhood moving around the US and the world. His acting career got its start in Danville, IL where he played several children's roles at the Red Mask Theater (the same theater where Dick Van Dyke began his career). In 2016, after a 40 year hiatus from acting, he returned to perform small background roles in television and movies.
Worked as a vivisectionist in bio-medical research for several years, before becoming a vegan.
Created the largest vegan Facebook group, "Vegan Humor", which as of April 2017 has over 172,000 members.
In January 2014, Slusher coined the new terms "malzoan" and "malzoism" to compensate for the fact that there is no antonym for vegan or veganism. Etymology: mal (bad or harmful) + zo (animal) + an (adherent) = "A person who is harmful to animals".
