Telemundo’s new reality competition series “Los 50” will bring drama among familiar faces.
“For the first time, you’re gonna see 50 celebrities, influencers, singers or famous people in one place fighting for the big prize; they can win up to $350,000,” Telemundo Entertainment and Content Strategy President Ronald Day told TheWrap. “You’re going to have some challenges that are going to be in a group or individual, so there is going to be elimination every night… it’s a lot of drama — it’s a combination between game and reality.”
Based on the French series “The Fifty,” “Los 50” features 50 well-known personalities, including Telemundo royalty Isabella Sierra, who played the daughter of Teresa Mendoza in “La Reina del Sur,” and “La Casa de Los Famosos” alum Manelyk González, as well as Mexican actor Juan Vidal and Mexican American singer Lorenzo Méndez, among many others. "I used to tell her, don't go to the river, but she used to go anyways." Black Mandala has revealed a new English dub trailer for an indie horror film from Panama called The Sacrifice, made by filmmaker Alberto Serra. The folk horror movie originally premiered at genre festivals back in 2018, and it already opened in a few Latin American countries last year. The horror film was officially selected at Curtas Film Fest (Spain); Cinefantasy (Brazil); and Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre (Argentina). A horror story based on legends from all over Latin America, though it's made in Panama. Starring Ana Grethel Solís, Freddy D'Elia, Stella Lauri, Nick Romano, and Isabella Sierra. This dub doesn't seem that good, but at least...

Kate del Castillo, the star of La Reina del Sur, does not regret becoming a major player in the El Chapo saga but admitted that she “hated” the fact that she had to have a double for Mexico-set scenes of the Telemundo narco drama.
Del Castillo, speaking on day one of TCA, said that she was not able to shoot her scenes of the drama, which returns to the NBCU-backed Spanish-language broadcaster after eight years, because of “her little thing” with the drug lord. However, she revealed that she has since returned to Mexico.
The Jane the Virgin star helped set up a meeting between Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán in 2015 and Sean Penn in 2015. She was not charged with any crimes as a result of the incident but has accused former President Enrique Pena Nieto’s prosecutors of leaking information that she was linked to drug trafficking.
