TNT‘s series adaptation of Bong Joon Ho’s “Snowpiercer” (which was based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob) kicked off back in 2020, with three seasons aired between 2020 and 2022. Season 4 has already been filmed, but it won’t be airing on TNT. As we learned last year, TNT made the decision to cut ties with the brand entirely.
The good news? The upcoming season has been given a second chance at life.
Variety reports this afternoon that “Snowpiercer” Season 4 has been acquired by AMC – along with the previous three seasons – and it’ll finally premiere on AMC in early 2025.
Variety notes, “It had already been announced Season 4 would be the show’s last before TNT parent company Warner Bros. Discovery decided to not air Season 4 altogether in a cost-cutting move. Producer Tomorrow Studios then shopped the show to other outlets.”

The show’s fourth season has been filmed, but in a strange twist of fate we’ve learned this week that it won’t actually be airing on TNT at all.
Deadline reports, “Snowpiercer, the only remaining original scripted series on TNT, is done on the Warner Bros. Discovery network. The post-apocalyptic drama’s completed fourth and final season will not run on the basic cable network as previously announced. The move is believed to be part of the tax write-offs for content at Wbd.”
“I hear the studio behind it, Tomorrow Studios, is currently shopping the new season, along with potential prequel and sequel, with the goal to build a franchise,” Deadline adds.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched “Clickbait,” streaming now on Netflix.
In the first episode of Netflix’s new limited series, “Clickbait,” a husband and father named Nick (Adrian Grenier) is kidnapped and filmed holding a sign that says he abuses women and will be killed when the video reaches 5 million views.
Unsurprisingly, the video goes viral and Nick’s fate is sealed. Perhaps a bit surprisingly, though, that all happens within the first episode — and who kidnapped him isn’t who ends up killing him.
A tangled web unravels that makes it seem like Nick was a serial cheater, on every dating site under a new name, having relationships with women in multiple cities. When one of those women kills herself and uncaring messages from Nick’s profile are found on her phone, her brother wants him to pay. But that #MeToo revenge fantasy...

"What are you actually doing to find him?" Netflix has unveiled a trailer for a mysterious, intriguing thriller mini-series titled Clickbait, directed by filmmaker Brad Anderson. Even though it's a series, this trailer plays like a feature film trailer, and sets up a story that seems like a story from a movie extended into 8 episodes for Netflix. When family man Nick Brewer is abducted in a crime with a sinister online twist, those closest to him race to uncover who is behind it and why. "Victim or Suspect? Crime or Conspiracy? Innocent or Guilty?" This stars Adrian Grenier, Zoe Kazan, Jaylin Fletcher, Camaron Engels, Jessica Collins, Betty Gabriel, Motell Gyn Foster, Abraham Lim, and Daniel Henshall. It all seems pretty obvious from this trailer what's going on - he's really a shady guy, his family refuses to believe it, someone he hurt is trying to play a game to wake...

Snowpiercer Episode 10
A history lesson learned, over and over, is that conquering a territory is much easier than governing it. Even if the revolution is just, once the bloodshed stops and the compromises begin, not every general is a George Washington-level statesman. The bodies have barely been frozen and the blood still stains the floors and yet, there’s already another threat demanding Layton’s attention. It’s not looting or worries in First Class, it’s something much harder to put a stop to. There’s another train, and it’s coming to link up to Snowpiercer.
Snowpiercer has been through a lot of world-changing events over the past few episodes. Wilford is dead, First Class is plotting against Melanie (Jennifer Connelly), Third and Tail are plotting against First Class, there’s armed revolt in the train courtesy of Layton (Daveed Diggs), the...

Snowpiercer Episode 8
The only thing keeping Snowpiercer in any sort of working order, aside from hard work and Third Class laborers, is belief. The belief that Mr. Wilford is up in the front of the train, guiding the eternal engine, making sure everyone has enough food, and space, and frolic to keep them all from going mad. Mr. Wilford, the benevolent genius behind the life-saving train, and the man single-handedly keeping the human race from extinction. For people like Ruth (Alison Wright), Wilford is next to God in their eyes. For people like the Folgers, Wilford is the only person on the train with more money than them, and clout enough to get them thrown out of the train or worse should he wish it. Thus, he’s a useful fiction to have, until he’s no longer available. Now there are no higher powers...

Things are finally back on track this first season of Snowpiercer, after last week’s extremely transition-y episode that didn’t do a ton to move the narrative forward. Episode 7, entitled “The Universe is Indifferent,” begins to amp up to the promised revolution aboard the titular train in a meaningful way, as an executive upheaval begins to develop, loved ones are lost, and Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs) decides the only way to win the impending war is to align himself with the most twisted passenger aboard the Snowpiercer as well.
“The Universe is Indifferent” opens with a performance from Miss Audrey (Lena Hall) in the Nightcar, while Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) is on the hunt for Layton after their physical altercation last week. It’s apparent from her haughty pursuit of the detective that Melanie’s officially done taking crap, as we watch her interrogate Terence (Shaun Toub), the leader of the janitorial crew,...

Snowpiercer Episode 7
The cold opening to this week’s Snowpiercer opens up with none other than Lj Folger (Annalise Basso) discussing human nature. Specifically, how to her one of the core tenets of human behavior is to be self-involved, and how the individual person is never the most important person in the world, no matter what they might think. That’s easy for someone like Lj to say, because she’s only important because her family is important. But what about someone like Melanie (Jennifer Connelly)? In the world of Snowpiercer, she’s the person on the train with real, ultimate power, and that’s why she is involved in every plot, scheme, and silly little game; when you’re one exposed lie away from getting your head stuck out a porthole by your enemies, you tend to take those things seriously.

We are officially halfway through the first season of Snowpiercer, and now with the murder mystery all wrapped up, it’s time to get down to business. Or so I thought heading into this week’s programming. This latest episode, entitled “Trouble Comes Sideways,” puts the brewing class warfare on hold so that Melanie and those in charge of keeping the Snowpiercer rolling along can deal with a near-catastrophe that threatens the very lives of every single passenger aboard.
The opening montage shows us that trouble is brewing for the titular train in a multitude for ways: not only do we see some electrical gear short-circuiting but there seems to be an uprising about to happen amongst the Third Class passengers who are planning to strike as a means to get justice for Nikki and the sham trial that allowed Lj Folger (Annalise Basso) to walk free despite being found guilty.

After years of delays, TNT’s TV series adaptation of “Snowpiercer” is finally premiering later this month, and ahead of the show’s launch comes the official trailer which demonstrates beyond any doubt that yes, it’s definitely a TV series version of the acclaimed film directed by Bong Joon Ho.
Not that we’re complaining. Based on Bong’s 2014 film adaptation of the critically acclaimed graphic novel series “Le Transperceneige” by Jean-Marc Rochette, “Snowpiercer” is set more than seven years after an effort to reverse global warming went horribly wrong and plunged the earth into a brutal ice age. The show centers on the last surviving humans, who live on a perpetually moving train that circles the globe in order to stay within the relatively warmer daytime band. Inside the train, the population is divided into a brutal class system in which the wealthy and privileged enjoy luxurious bounty in the front cars,...

TNT’s upcoming “Snowpiercer” adaptation has changed networks and showrunners and undergone major redevelopment since it was first announced years ago, but the series will finally make it to screen this spring.
Series star Daveed Diggs put it simply: “Takes a long time to make really good s—.”
The long-gestating show was first put into development at TNT five years ago, with Josh Friedman writing the original pilot and set to serve as showrunner. Friedman was fired in 2018 over “creative differences” and replaced by “Orphan Black” co-creator Graeme Manson. The show was then almost completely redeveloped — though the original cast, including Diggs and co-star Jennifer Connelly, stayed attached to the project — and shuffled around Turner’s networks before finally getting a firm May premiere date on Wednesday.

Snowpiercer will finally get the wheels moving this spring -- almost five years after the TV adaptation entered development.
The series will receive its highly anticipated premiere Sunday, May 31 at 9/8c.
The series was initially slated to air on TNT, but was later moved to the comedy-heavy TBS, leading to many wondering what was going on.
However, the network later reversed that decision and moved Snowpiercer back to TNT.
The series also received a major setback when it was announced that showrunner Josh Friedman was stepping away from the adaptation.
Snowpiercer follows the remaining members of the human race seven years after an ice age turns the world into a ball of ice.
The final group of people alive are aboard a giant train that makes its way around the globe, and will explore “class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival,” according to the official description.

Futuristic thriller Snowpiercer, starring Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs, will air on TNT after all. The network just made the surprising announcement; the series will debut on TNT in spring 2020. The news comes months after WarnerMedia in May announced that Snowpiercer, which had been developed and ordered to series by TNT, was moving to TBS. Comedy-centric TBS was to make its first foray into drama programming with Snowpiercer, which in May also was renewed for a second season ahead of its debut.
TBS this afternoon announced a straight-to-series order to the one-hour action drama Obliterated.
“We’ve had the unique opportunity to more thoroughly test and explore where this show will best perform. While we are still adding dramas to TBS (such as Obliterated), after further research and consideration we’ve decided to keep Snowpiercer on TNT,” said Kevin Reilly, Chief Content Officer, HBO Max and president, TNT, TBS, and truTV.

Snowpiercer nabbed an early Season 2 renewal for 2020, but will switch Turner cable tracks from TNT to TBS.
Snowpiercer has been on the dramatic backlog of TNT for nearly four years now. The series – adapting French future-dystopian comic book Le Transperceneige and subsequent 2013 Snowpiercer film starring Chris Evans – was saddled with delays over creative issues, leading to a setback-inducing showrunner swap. However, while the show has yet to premiere, Season 2 is already in the works... except not for TNT, but TBS!
The mythology of Snowpiercer takes place amongst the wintry desolation of a far-future inside the constantly chugging titular track-looping locomotive, in which remnants of society live in refuge from the snow-packed Earth. However, the crux of the drama tends to center on the caste divisions of the train and the recognizable follies of human nature. The TV adaptation – at least, in Season 1 – is headlined by Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs.

Back in 2016, TNT ordered a pilot episode based on Bong Joon Ho’s Snowpiercer (itself based on Jacques Lobabout's Le Transperceneige), and in early 2018, the network green-lit the series. The long-gestating “Snowpiercer” series is on the move.
WarnerMedia announced Wednesday ahead of their upfront presentation that the series, based on the 2013 film of the same name (pictured above), will now air on TBS instead of TNT as originally planned. In addition, the series has been renewed for a second season well ahead of its planned spring 2020 debut.
The move to TBS comes despite the fact that for the past several years, TBS has defined itself as a comedy brand with shows like “The Last Og,” “Search Party,” and “Angie Tribeca,” the last of which was recently canceled. TNT, meanwhile, has focused on dramas like “The Alienist” and “Animal Kingdom.”
“Snowpiercer is the perfect show to kick-off TBS’ entry into dramas with intricate storytelling, stunning visuals and first-class acting,” said Brett Weitz, general manager for TBS and TNT. “We believe in the longevity of this series and that audiences will...
