The After movie franchise is a series of romantic drama films produced by Wattpad and Voltage Pictures, with the first released in April 2019 and came to Netflix in October 2019. That first film departed Netflix in the United States three years after its Netflix debut in October 2022.
Based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Anna Todd. The premise of the movie franchise is that it follows a young woman named Tessa who begins a relationship with a mysterious and troubled man named Hardin.

James and Hayley are ready for their second Christmas together, and with everybody comfortable (or at least used to) the familial chaos of both the Taylor and Hughes families, it should be all downhill after last year’s adventures. However, throw in a trip to the Swiss Alps, a mix-up of accommodations, and James’ dad’s new American girlfriend (played by Jane Krakowski), will it really be the most wonderful time of the year? Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk are back to lead the cast of the sequel “Your Christmas or Mine 2,” which comes to Prime Video on Friday, Dec. 8. Following the success of entertaining festive-romantic comedy Your Christmas or Mine? comes a sequel, that stays true to the endearing tonality and original concept of before. To mark the film’s release, which launches on Prime Video on December 8 – we had the pleasure of speaking to the couple at the centre of the narrative; Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk.
The duo discuss the popularity of the first movie, their own dynamic as actors, and they speak about family Christmas traditions, and resolutions. Ours, as mentioned, was to live a healthier lifestyle. But as you’ll see in this video, thanks to the generous offering a mince pie, it’s nothing something we’ve necessarily stuck to.
Watch the full interview here with Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk:
Synopsis
In the sequel, Lord Humphrey invites the Taylors to Christmas in a luxury ski resort in the French Alps so they can meet his new American girlfriend.

He’s posh, she’s not. This cosy, chirpy comedy, starring Asa Butterfield, hits the ski slopes for a forgettable festive sequel
If you haven’t seen the first Your Christmas or Mine movie, don’t panic. This chirpy romcom sequel from Prime Video has got the warm blanket familiarity you would get from a feature-length British telly Christmas special; something to put on while you fight over who gets the last Malteser in the Celebrations tub. Sex Education’s Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk return as James and Hayley, a couple in their final year at uni. He’s a pleasant posho, she’s working class from Huddersfield. Last time they accidentally spent Christmas apart: each with the other one’s families. This year, they’re bringing their clans together for a festive getaway on the ski slopes. Hilarity – well, sitcommy cock-ups and culture-clash cliches – ensues.

There’ll be some happy holidays on Prime Video in December, as the streamer’s seasonal offerings hope to keep the fires warm in your home this month!
As such, there are quite a few new original holiday movies coming to the service. At the beginning of the month, Eddie Murphy stars in Candy Cane Lane. In this film, the Beverly Hills Cop and Coming to America star plays a determined man who is willing to go above and beyond to win the annual Christmas home decoration contest in his neighborhood – even if it means making a very magical deal.
The DC universe will also be getting festive in December thanks to Merry Little Batman, an animated feature that sees Batman’s son, Damian Wayne, stumble upon a villainous plot on Christmas eve, one that may give him a chance to save the day when his dad isn’t around.

Asa Butterfield and the rest of the cast return for festive follow up Your Christmas Or Mine 2, here’s the trailer.
Your Christmas Or Mine landed on Amazon Prime last year, and it went down really rather well.
The plot saw Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk play young couple James and Hayley who, upon deciding that they don’t want to be apart for Christmas after all, get on each other’s respective trains and find themselves at the others’ family home. Fuelled by farcical misunderstandings, the film is a solid slice of festive fun. It’s no Planes, Trains & Automobiles of course, but then again, what is.
Still! We’re getting more of it, and Your Christmas Or Mine 2 looks set to stick to the same formula. Think of it as a bit Home Alone 2 to Home Alone, if you will.
The synopsis reads as follows:...

Prime Video has debuted the trailer for the Christmas movie sequel ‘Your Christmas or Mine 2.’
The follow-up follows young couple James (Asa Butterfield), and Hayley (Cora Kirk), who are gearing up for their second Christmas as a couple. And that can only mean one thing … more mayhem with the Taylor and Hughes families.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year … but will it be for James and Hayley? James’ father has invited the Taylors to spend Christmas in a luxury ski resort in the Austrian Alps, so they can meet his new American girlfriend (played by Jane Krakowski). However, Hayley’s dad Geoff insisted on handling his family’s side of the booking and something clearly got lost in translation. After a mix-up with transport at the airport, the two tribes end up at each other’s accommodations, on different sides of a valley and opposite ends of the Tripadvisor ratings scale.

Daniel Mays has hurt his back. “It’s causing me a bit of gyp,” the Line of Duty star admits. “I’m just getting to be an old fart now. But that’s the hazards of the job, I’m afraid.” I’m speaking to him over video from his home in north London. The “job” in question is a new series about one of the Founding Fathers of America, Benjamin Franklin (Michael Douglas), for which Mays has been going back and forth to Paris to film. “Obviously it’s set in 1776 or whatever, and I have to wear those period shoes with heels,” he explains. “So your weight distribution is thrown forward. It’s like when you used to listen to women go, ‘I can’t wear high heels all night,’ because it ruins the small of their back.” He smiles. “My transvestite days are over, let’s put it that way.

A young couple end up with each other’s family for Christmas in a middling assortment of sitcom cliches and laboured farce
In what feels like a record year for the number of new Christmas movies being unwrapped on the big and mostly small screens, it takes a certain extra sparkle to make one feel worthy of our time. The welcome return of Lindsay Lohan was the mild elevation that Netflix’s otherwise aggressively anonymous Falling for Christmas needed. David Harbour’s theatrically released Violent Night moved past its been-there-seen-that badder Santa set-up with wince-inducing R-rated violence. Apple’s splashy, star-led musical Spirited took the bones of A Christmas Carol and found a new, if annoying, way to add some fresh flesh. In Amazon’s exhaustingly eager Britcom Your Christmas or Mine?, one might struggle to see why our time is even half-demanded here rather than elsewhere, a hackneyed grab-bag...

Twelve years ago director Daniel Stamm was considered in some quarters as having revivified a subgenre with “The Last Exorcism.” That sleeper hit that was no classic, but it took itself seriously in the right ways, as put across by a good cast including the estimable (and still underused) Ashley Bell. Since 2014’s less successful “13 Sins,” he’s been occupied with episodic TV work. Unsurprisingly, his first feature in eight years marks a return to the general terrain that worked for him before.
“Prey for the Devil” won’t likely spur enthusiasm equal to Stamm’s breakout film, despite the relative novelty value of being built around a female exorcist — something not so unprecedented (at least onscreen) as billed, last year’s Veracruz-set “The Old Ways” being just one other example. Still, even if it falls short of being particularly memorable or scary, this is a decently entertaining possession potboiler.
