Biography

James Lawson is an actor and musician from New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada and attended high school at Waterloo Oxford D.S.S. in Baden, Ontario, Canada.

At a young age James began his acting career with several lead roles in school and community plays/musicals. James' home town area of New Hamburg, Ontario watched him perform with local musical groups TCP-The Community Players and KWMP-Kitchener Waterloo Musical Productions. James also performed music with the punk band "The Dupes" for five years playing bass guitar and singing throughout the Ontario club scene. He continued his performing career with special talent parts in the film and television business in Toronto and Vancouver, Canada.

James began playing the local pub scene in Whistler, BC, Canada and in 2008 he released his first solo album entitled "Our Worlds Heartbeat" with his voice drawing the most indefinite attention and in 2009 released his second album entitled "The Better Far Away."

In 2015 James was selected for the role of an Elite 8 Swarm Soldier in Star Trek: Beyond and in 2016 was credited with an actors role as a British Red Coat Jail Guard in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. James went on to play a Time Soldier in the 2020 film The Adam Project. Most recently James was the lead acting double in the film How To Rob A Bank directed by Stephen Campanelli.
