After building a fan base through short-form videos and podcasting, Connor Wood is taking his show on the road. The funnyman known as Fibula is heading out on a comedy tour that will hit at least 11 U.S. cities.
Wood routinely reels in millions of views with quick-hitting comedy videos that turn ordinary situations into ridiculous scenarios. When not adding to the Fibula library, Wood co-hosts Brooke and Connor Make A Podcast along fellow TikToker Brooke Averick. Wood and Averick’s show is distributed through Tmg Studios, the podcasting hub led by Tiny Meat Gang co-hosts Cody Ko and Noel Miller.
During his 11-city swing, Wood will bring his low-key comedic stylings off the screen and into the club. His tour is titled Fibs & Friends, which is both a Fox News pun and an allusion to the guest stars who will join Wood at his shows. One of Wood’s...

Creators have a new way to sell ad space within their videos. Arthur Leopold and Jonathan Meyers have co-founded Agentio, a matchmaking platform that has raised $4.25 million of seed funding.
Agentio’s flagship platform is live in beta. Influencers like Cody Ko and Nick Digiovanni have already used Agentio to sell ad space on their videos. The platform simplifies connections between sponsored creators and their partners by easily scaling up an ad-buying process that is otherwise time-consuming and labor-intensive.
Both of Agentio’s Co-Founders have extensive experience in advertising and marketing. Leopold was Cameo‘s first hire. As the President of the celebrity shoutout platform, he helped grow it into a multi-million-dollar enterprise. Meyers comes to Agentio after a stint at Spotify, where he led an Automated Content Marketing team that implemented AI-driven solutions.

In July 2022, MrBeast aka Jimmy Donaldson became the second-ever individual creator to hit 100 million subscribers on YouTube.
Now, just 15 months later, he’s already hit 200 million.
It’s been a busy year for Donaldson. On top of regularly uploading videos with ever more grandiose and attention-grabbing (though not always in the way he wants) videos with premises fine-tuned to go viral, he’s expanded Feastables (and signed it as a sponsor for the Charlotte Hornets), opened a record-breaking brick-and-mortar MrBeast Burger location before suing the brand, publicly supported Kris Tyson through her coming out, got Hans Zimmer to score one of his videos, collaborated with Nerf, launched a creator-focused training and credentialing program at East Carolina University, and a lot more.
Through all that, his main channel has grown from bringing around one billion views a month to over 2 billion.
But out of everything he’s done in 15 months, what...

Jellysmack has made a multimillion-dollar investment in creator commerce platform Fourthwall.
Founded in 2019, Fourthwall bills itself as an “all-in-one monetization platform” where creators can design their own homepages, digital shops, and membership programs for fans. It works with creators like Cody Ko, Marques Brownlee, Philip DeFranco, Simone Giertz, and Charlotte Dobre, and to date has processed over one million orders for them.
Jellysmack, meanwhile, partners with YouTube creators to re-optimize and distribute their videos across platforms like Snapchat and Facebook.
Jellysmack’s investment is part of Fourthwall’s third venture round. The companies are not disclosing exactly how much Jellysmack contributed, but say Fourthwall has now raised over $25 million total.
The duo did say that Jellysmack’s investment includes an exclusive partnership where it and Fourthwall will “bring new business opportunities in e-commerce and memberships directly to Jellysmack’s roster of creators.”

The former Venice home of South Park co-creator Matt Stone is hitting the market for $6.5 million.
Located in a residential neighborhood of Venice known as the Silver Triangle, the contemporary-modern house sits on a nearly 7,500-square-foot corner double lot, with just over 3,000 square feet of interior space.
“It’s in this very coveted area of Venice that’s very quiet and serene. There’s not much traffic whether car or foot,” says The Agency’s Billy Rose, who holds the listing. He adds, “What makes this property unique is that it’s like the tip of a peninsula, surrounded essentially by three streets. There’s just one neighbor to the rear; it only shares one property line. So it gets tremendous light and it’s extremely private.”
The current owner remodeled the interior of the house after buying it from Stone, giving it more of a Danish Modern-inspired contemporary feel.

Exclusive: Facebook Watch has opted not to renew its original series Sorry For Your Loss, starring Elizaeth Olsen, for a third season and Limetown, headlined by Jessica Biel, for a second. The critically praised Sorry For Your Loss is being shopped around, I hear.
Facebook Watch still has several scripted series in the pipeline, which will be released as planned. Going forward, the company will be pairing down significantly their scripted development efforts. Word around town is that Facebook is leaving the scripted business. Sources close to the situation indicate that Facebook is not closing the door completely on original scripted programming if the right project came along but its focus is shifting to unscripted fare where it’s had more success and better traction with Facebook users.
Among Facebook Watch’s most popular originals are the Daytime Emmy-nominated Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith as well as Returning the Favor with Mike Rowe.

The cheekily-named Tiny Meat Gang — comprising creator duo Cody Ko and Noel Miller — have signed with illustrious record label Arista.
In addition to serving as a musical duo, Ko and Miller also host a podcast under the Tiny Meat Gang banner, and have also embarked on a nationwide comedy tour. Under Arista’s tutelage, however, the duo are set to release their third as-yet-unnamed Ep later this year, Billboard reports. The group formed in 2017 and has dropped two EPs to date: Bangers & Ass (2017) and Locals Only (2018). The Gang continued to release new music this year, including singles like "Walk Man" and "Short Kings Anthem."
“We couldn't be more pumped to join the Arista family," Ko and Miller told Billboard in a statement. "David [Massey, president and CEO of Arista] and Matt [D'Arduini, Svp of A&r] and the rest of the team are the best in the biz and have launched careers for some of the most successful acts in the world.

At this point, the relationship between YouTube star David Dobrik and ticketing app SeatGeek has become something of branded content lore, given its pioneering, symbiotic impact.

The new signings include model and lifestyle influencer Ariana ‘Arii’ Trejos, Latino comedy creator Louie Castro, actor/model Trent Culkin, and stand-up comedian Noel Miller. Jimmy Tatro, the YouTube star who headlined the first season of Netflix's hit docu-spoof American Vandal, is bringing his latest project to Facebook's fledgling Watch video hub.
The Real Bros Of Simi Valley, a comedy about four friends attempting to figure out their floundering lives a decade after graduating from high school, first debuted on Tatro’s YouTube channel, which counts 3 million subscribers. In April 2017, Simi Valley's first four episodes rolled out, ultimately garnering upwards 4.5 million collective views -- though the venture was put on hold amid the success of Vandal.
Now, on Nov. 30, the second season of Simi Valley, comprising 10 episodes, will debut exclusively on Facebook Watch, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Tatro is pulling quadruple duty on Simi Valley as star, co-writer, director, and executive producer. His co-writer is Christian Pierce, and the series stars fellow digital comedians Tanner Petulla, Nick Colletti, and Cody Ko.

After seeing Cody Kolodziejzyk’s quippy comedy clips on Vine in 2013, Fullscreen senior talent manager Mahzad Babayan -- who was in charge of the network’s signings at the time -- became instantly mesmerized. So she contacted the 27-year-old -- who just last month crossed the 1 million subscriber threshold on YouTube, where he is known to fans as Cody Ko -- about working with the digital network in a licensing and asset-claiming capacity.
“I was just a software engineer from Canada,” Kolodziejzyk (pictured above) remembers, “so navigating Hollywood didn’t exactly come naturally to me.”
The more that they talked, the more that Babayan saw the glimmer of something truly special. And sensing that the multi-faceted Kolodziejzyk had potential not only as a digital comedian but as an actor, musician, and host, she proposed serving as his full-time talent manager in a bid to orchestrate his foray into Hollywood -- which he promptly accepted.

Cody Ko is a man of many formats.
The 27-year-old Canadian (real name Cody Kolodziejzyk), who first rose to prominence thanks to his Vines, has now branched out across the internet and beyond. On YouTube, he dissects dicey videomaking in his That's Cringe series and analyses current trends on the internet. In the podcasting world, he hosts two shows -- Insanely Chill and Tiny Meat Gang -- alongside his friend and frequent collaborator Noel Miller. They also make music together, too.
Now, Ko (who is partnered with Fullscreen) has surpassed one million YouTube subscribers. Here's what he had to say about it.
Tubefilter: How does it feel to have more than one million YouTube subscribers? What do you have to say to your fans?
Cody Ko: Feels right. I always knew I was god's gift to YouTube but now I have that sweet M beside my name to prove it.

Fullscreen is bolstering the content slate for its recently launched subscription service with six original series and the return of Jack & Dean Of All Trades, a comedy in which YouTube creators Jack Howard and Dean Dobbs attempt to hold down temporary jobs after quitting lucrative careers in finance. The second season of that show will bow in 2017.
First off, Andrea Russett will join Fullscreen’s roster of influencer-driven talk shows with an as-yet-untitled series in 2017 in which the YouTube star and actress will serve cocktails, dish on gossip, share relationship and sex advice, and host guests in her 90s-themed basement set. Other Fullscreen talkers include Shane Dawson’s Shane And Friends, Zall Good with Alexis G. Zall, and Not Too Deep with Grace Helbig.
