Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan's friendship goes a long way back, right from the 90s. Raju Hirani might have his hands full with his ambitious project on Sanjay Dutt’s biopic but he took some time off from his busy schedule to share an exciting news with us! In an interview given to Mumbai Mirror, Raju Hirani confirmed the news of the next installment of Munna Bhai, titled - Munna Bhai Chale America, which will be soon returning to the big screen. The movie, which was reported to be made much earlier, was repeatedly stalled due to conflicts and Sanjay Dutt being sent to jail in 2013. Without the prominent lead, the movie never came around to being made. Bollywoodactor Sanjay Dutt sought blessings from West BengalChief Minister Mamata Banerjeeduring a visit to the state secretariat Nabanna in neighbouring Howrahdistrict on Monday.

He also lauded the development initiatives taken by Banerjee in the state.

“After what happened to me in the 1993 incident, Didi (elder sister – as Banerjee is affectionately called) was the only one who supported me. After that I always wanted to come to Kolkata and thank Didi. Because no one had supported me back then. Only Shatrughan Sinha and Didi were by my side,” Sanjay told reporters here.

Sanjay was handed a five-year sentence by the Supreme Court for illegal weapons possession in a case linked to the 1993 serial blasts that killed 257 people in Mumbai.

I don’t know about you, but I for one have been eagerly waiting for buddy-cop films to come back into the limelight. Having grown up on the likes of Sholay, Main Anari Tu Khiladi and Munna Bhai, I could not have been more psyched to hear that the promising director who delivered a very hilarious Desi Boyz in 2011 is all set to regenerate this genre. Rohit Dhawan’s latest outing, Dishoom, claimed to be riding high on the 90s buddy-cop film nostalgia and promised to be an action-comedy entertainer that is not to be missed. But does it really end up doing all these things?

Yes and no. For starters he delivered the action he promised. In fact it seems at one point that the older Dhawan brother had set out to give another fellow Rohit a run for his money as the movie delivered one interesting car chase after another.
