Claudio Bertonatti
Claudio Bertonatti is a museologist and naturalist. He completed two postgraduate courses: one in "Environmental Management" at the Universidad Católica Argentina and another in "Historical Botanical Gardens" at the Universidad Nacional de Misiones, Argentina.
Since 1983 he has been dedicated to conservation, research and teaching about nature and, to a lesser extent, cultural heritage (with emphasis on intangible heritage).
Claudio has participated in the creation of several natural protected areas, interpretation centers and museums. He was Director of the Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina, the Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur and the Buenos Aires Zoo.
He is currently a researcher at the Center for Natural, Environmental and Anthropological Sciences of the Maimonides University and scientific advisor to the Azara Foundation.
Since 2007 Claudio has been a professor at the UNESCO Chair of Cultural Tourism. Since 2013, he is also a professor at the Perito Moreno Institute in Buenos Aires, where he teaches the subjects "Ecology" and "Conservation Biology".
He has published -as author, co-author, collaborator or prologue writer- more than 50 books and 600 popular and scientific articles.
He has received some twenty awards and distinctions for his work.
