Don Arbuckle

Born in Chicago Don started his career on the stage, with community theater productions. Don migrated to sound for theater when he saw the audio man for the shows he was appearing in as an amateur getting paid for his work.
Following his move to the audio side of things, Don spent a number of years doing live audio for theater and corporate events before taking a producer position with the Chicago Tribune. After a 5 year stint with the trib Don moved to post production and live TV.
The next 5 years were spent as both and A2 and primary audio for Trio Video in Chicago. Covering mostly sports for the Chicago professional teams as primary truck audio engineer.
In 1988 Mike King, local Chicago Legend who engineered for radio station WCFL and also was instrumental in the sound design creation of the comedy radio series "Chickenman", approached Don to come in from the truck and start Audio Recording Unlimited. ARU as it came to be known is a post production audio studio in Chicago specializing in audio for radio and television adverting. Located in the clock tower of the historic Wrigley Building, Don and the company prospered for more than 25 years. In 2007, Don acquired ARU with his new partner Mark Zeboski. Don continues to enjoy his sound design efforts and working with the great people in our industry.
