- Son of Friedrich Trump (1869-1918) from Kallstadt, Germany. After Friedrich made his fortune operating hotels, restaurants, and brothels in the United States and Canada, he returned to Kallstadt, and married Elizabeth Christ (1880-1966). The couple then moved to New York. Trump, who had many Jewish tenants in his buildings, would always deny his German heritage, claiming Friedrich was a Swede from Karlstad.
