Anjul Chaturvedi,a Mumbai-Kolkata filmmaker, is no stranger to the Calcutta Hindi theatre community, having started his journey in theatre as a child. Featuring in a pivotal role as a child artist in the 1989 popular Indian national TV serial, "Ganadevta" then telecasted on Doordarshan, he has since then worked as an actor in TV serials for Sony, Zee and Star Jalsha on both National as well as Regional Televison channels in India. As a director, he has directed several critically acclaimed short films in the past, such as "Samaachaar Samaapt Hue", "The Red Dress", & "The Bystander", selected for International Film Festivals in Pakistan, Germany, Italy and Sweden, as well as writing and directing corporate ads & street plays for the Lifeline Foundation in Calcutta in association with the Metro Railways. His company Amrita Arts also regularly organizes theatre events within Kolkata and Mumbai.
