“RuPaul’s Drag Race” returned to VH1 on March 22 with the debut of its 10th season. In an all-new episode on March 29, the remaining 13 queens were tasked with taking part in a musical spoof. Which contestant came out on top as the winner of the challenge? And were Gold Derby’s predictions correct that Kalorie Karbdashian-Williams would be eliminated this week?
In last week’s premiere episode, she came perilously close to being bounced but Vanessa Vanjie Mateo went home instead. Both had to strut their stuff to “Ain’t No Other Man,” one of the biggest hits of guest judge Christina Aguilera. Mayhem Miller had earned the right to play judge and jury by winning the main challenge. In celebration of the series’ 10 season anniversary, that had been a throwback to the very first challenge ever – drag on a dime.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” contestant Vanessa Vanjie Mateo has plenty to say about being bounced on the season 10 premiere, “10s Across the Board.” This tart-tongued diva sat down with judge Michelle Visage to talk about her surprise exit. As you will see in their video interview above, she readily admits to feeling vulnerable from the start of this Emmy-winning reality series.
This Tampa, Florida resident is the drag daughter of season 3 third-place finisher Alexis Mateo. In the season 10 opener, she faced off against Kalorie Karbdashian Williams in the lip sync challenge. On the March 22 premiere of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 10, Mayhem Miller sent Vanessa Vanjie Mateo packing. She is the drag daughter of season 3 third-place finisher Alexis Mateo. The season opener, “10s Across the Board,” ended with these two queens having to lip sync to “Ain’t No Other Man,” one of the biggest hits of guest judge Christina Aguilera. Kalorie stepped up her game, with her energetic twerking. She capped off her performance by pulling dollar bills out of her bra and making it rain. By comparison, Vanessa’s rendition of the song seemed tepid.

Based on our exclusive predictions, Aquaria is the early favorite to win. This 21 year-old from Brooklyn is the youngest queen in the competition and has odds of 2/1 to take the title. Close behind with odds of 4/1 is Asia O’Hara who, at 35, is one of the two oldest contestants (Mayhem Miller is also 35). Sometimes, the first episode of “Drag Race” does not end with an elimination. If it does, we are predicting that Kalorie Karbdashian-Williams will be bounced.
