Netflix’s move into live sports continues. The streamer is weighing in to the boxing arena with a fight between heavyweight legend Mike Tyson and upstart Jake Paul.
The streamer will air the fight, which takes place at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday July 20.
It is the company’s latest foray into the live sports field, which launched with golf tournament The Netflix Cup and continued with tennis tournament The Netflix Slam, featuring a match between Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz, earlier this month.
There have been reports over the last six months that Netflix was eyeing boxing as one of its next routes into sports. Boxing has previously tended to be pay-per-view but there will be no additional cost for the fight on Netflix.
Paul started his boxing career in 2018 with a fight against Deji Olatunji and his professional debut was in 2020 against AnEsonGib.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has inked a deal with Showtime Sports -- the same network that is set to air next month’s matchup between Jake’s brother, Logan, and Floyd Mayweather.
The multi-fight deal will call for Jake’s next fight to be distributed by Showtime Sports, ESPN reports, citing Paul’s adviser Nakisa Bidarian and a network source. Talks are still ongoing about potential opponents, date, and location. Paul boasts a 3-0 professional record but has yet to fight anyone with professional boxing experience, ESPN notes -- though he has called out Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz on social media.
Paul had previously been affiliated with Triller Fight Club, which aired his last match against Mma fighter Ben Askren in April, where he knocked Askren out in the first round. Paul has also previously faced off against (and defeated) former NBA guard Nate Robinson (which aired on Triller), and...

Jake Paul’s opponent has been named for an upcoming boxing match slated to take place April 17 with The Fight Club -- a league owned by Triller and Snoop Dogg.
Paul will face off against UFC fighter Ben Askren, ESPN reports, marking the first time he will be in the ring with a professional fighter, as well as Askren's first time competing in a professional boxing match. Paul’s past bouts have been with fellow YouTube stars Deji Olatunji and AnEsonGib, as well as former NBA star Nate Robinson.
The location of the fight has yet to be finalized, though it will air on traditional pay-per-view platforms. Paul and Askren's match will serve as the headlining event, and the undercard will feature names from the worlds of boxing, Mma, and other social influencers.

In his second major boxing match-up, following his defeat of Deji Olatunji in Aug. 2018, Jake Paul was victorious once again, defeating lesser-known opponent AnEsonGib in the first round.
Paul sent Gib to the ground three times, reports Dazn -- the streaming platform that exclusively aired the match priced at $20 per month -- and scored a Tko at the 2:18 mark. (A Tko occurs when the referee decides a fighter cannot safely continue).
Gib was chosen as Paul's opponent due to his affiliation with British gaming group The Sidemen, to which Olajide ‘Ksi’ Olatunji belongs as well. Ksi defeated Jake's brother, Logan Paul, in a blockbuster re-match in November that was a much closer fight than Jake and Gib's showdown yesterday. Logan Paul ultimately filed an appeal with the California State Athletic Commission after being defeated by Olatunji in a split decision, though his appeal was ultimately denied, and Ksi's win was upheld.

YouTube star Deji Olatunji -- perhaps best known as the oft-feuding younger brother of fellow creator Olajide 'Ksi' Olatunji and the loser in a highly-publicized boxing match against Jake Paul -- is fighting to save his dog’s life.
Olatunji, who lives in the U.K., is appealing a court’s decision that he must euthanize his 13-month-old pet German shepherd, Tank, after the dog bit and seriously injured an elderly woman back in July 2018. In addition to appealing the ruling, reports the BBC, Olatunji also asked subscribers in a new video to spread the word about Tank’s fate in hopes of reversing the decision.
Olatunji previously pleaded guilty for having a dog that was dangerously out of control, per the BBC, for which he was fined roughly $23,5000 -- including kennel costs and compensation -- on Tuesday. Olatunji’s mother also pleaded guilty, as she was the one who...

YouTuber Olajide ‘Ksi’ Olatunji’s long-running public feud with his younger brother Deji Olatunji has come to a head.
Ksi has lost nearly 100,000 subscribers, putting him at just over 7 million, since Deji posted a 45-minute YouTube video alleging his brother has physically and emotionally abused him since they began making videos together in 2012. Ksi, who’s currently on a concert tour, tweeted this morning saying he plans to reply to Deji’s allegations “very soon.”
“I’m tired of being treated like sh-t,” Deji says in the upload. “This is me finally standing up for myself.”
In the video, Deji (who has 9.8 million subscribers) focuses primarily on the past few months. His relationship with Ksi has rapidly cooled since their widely-viewed boxing matches with brothers Logan and Jake Paul (who are also known to publicly feud) last August. But Deji says this sudden stopper in their relationship is the result...

Shane Dawson is hard at work on his next YouTube docuseries, he says -- although unlike with past projects, the 30-year-old has kept his current subject under wraps.
That hasn’t stopped online sleuths from speculating that Dawson is shadowing the notorious YouTube star Jake Paul. In July, conceding that he “knows it’s controversial,” Dawson tweeted that, “the ups and downs of Jake Paul’s life and persona is something I would Love to see from the inside.” To this, Paul promptly responded, “Let's do it.” Given that Paul has earned a reputation for being something of an public nuisance -- having been in the subject of several lawsuits for his over-the-top pranks and destructive antics -- fans were dubious about the team-up.
The initial courtship on social media took place back in July, however, before Paul’s high-profile win in the boxing ring against Deji Olatunji. More recently,...

Though it may be slightly anticlimactic six days after the fact, the boxing showdown between Olajide ‘Ksi’ Olatunji and Logan Paul, which ended in a draw -- as well as Jake Paul’s defeat of Deji Olatunji -- are now available for free on YouTube.
The pay-per-view stream was available for $10 on Saturday -- and reached 800,000 concurrent subscribers at its peak, (for a total of $8 million). The move to enable free viewing likely means that all parties involved can rake in additional bucks via YouTube ad revenues. Both streams have been trimmed and posted on the KSIvsLogan YouTube channel (1.3 million subscribers), which was established ahead of the highly-hyped match.

Jake Paul “surprised” opponent Deji Olatunji in their undercard match by coming in strong and sweeping up the win, Olatunji said in a post-fight interview at packed Manchester Arena. Viewership on YouTube shot from the mid-600,000s to more than 800,000 concurrent viewers as the pair battled it out over six rounds, with Olatunji bloodying Paul’s nose early on but ultimately ending the fight defeated.

The Paul and Olatunji families may be duking it out in the courtroom after they come to blows in the boxing ring.
At a press conference to promote the highly-anticipated match on Aug. 25 -- when the two sets of YouTube-famous brothers will face off against one one another -- Greg Paul (who is Logan and Jake’s father) was reportedly punched in the head by a fan. Accordingly, Greg is blaming Deji Olatunji -- Ksi’s younger brother, who is set to fight Jake next month -- for inciting the attack.
In a new video on his ComedyShortsGamer channel, which counts 9.3 million subscribers, Deji claims that Greg's camp is suing him for urging his fans to physically attack the Pauls in a now-deleted vlog. Deji insists, however, that the suit is without merit, and that the attack resulted from other factors -- including the fact that “Greg Paul actually assaulted a fan first.

After coming face-to-face at an explosive press event in Los Angeles that nearly turned violent, newly-minted amateur boxers Olajide ‘Ksi’ Olatunji and Logan Paul will reunite across the pond next week ahead of their Manchester match-up, which is slated for August 25.
But first, on July 18, Ksi and Paul -- as well as their younger brothers Deji Olatunji and Jake Paul, who are slated to fight on the undercard of the event -- will take to the stage at York Hall to talk trash and take questions about the highly-anticipated match. The press conference will be free to the public -- and presumably streamed on each of the creators' channels -- but only 1,000 seats will be available. While heavyweight boxer Shannon Briggs hosted the Hollywood press conference at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, it is unclear who will be presiding over the U.K. iteration. “Make sure to come through to...

As expected, sparks flew on Saturday when YouTube megastars Olajide ‘Ksi’ Olatunji and Logan Paul convened for a presser ahead of their highly-anticipated boxing match in August. The two creators were joined by their younger brothers -- Deji Olatunji and Jake Paul -- who will also be fighting one another as part of the August 25 mega-matchup at the Manchester Arena.
All four creators traded barbs at the preview event, which took place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and was hosted by heavyweight boxer Shannon Briggs. Things even got briefly physical when Ksi donned a blonde wig in a pointed jab at Paul, leading Paul to rip it off and attempt to grab Ksi’s trademark bandana -- whereupon Ksi charged at Paul. Briggs separated the duo from coming to blows, as friends and supporters stormed the stage.

Before their boxing match, which is set to take place on August 25, YouTube stars Olajide "Ksi" Olatunji and Logan Paul are setting aside some time for a little trash talk. The boisterous duo will co-host a press conference, which will take place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on June 16. Their respective brothers, Deji Olatunji and Jake Paul, will be present as well.
After months of persistent rumors, Ksi and Logan Paul inked a two-fight deal in March. The first of those bouts will take place at the Manchester Arena in the UK, where thousands of spectators are expected to come watch the two videomakers slug it out. Before their fight, their brothers will battle in an undercard match.

On February 4, in front of 7,500 attendees at the sold out Copper Box Arena in London, Olajide "Ksi" Olatunji defeated Joe Weller in a boxing match between two YouTube stars. As he stood triumphant in the ring, Olatunji issued an open challenge to the online video community. “If any YouTuber wants it, you can come get it,” Olatunji said. “Jake Paul, Logan Paul — any of the Pauls — I don’t care.”
Three weeks later, it appears likely that Olatunji will get his wish. Though the boisterous Brit has only said he is "in talks" with Logan Paul's team, the controversial American accepted Olatunji's offer in a recent vlog.
In the vlog, Paul answered a question that many of his 16 million subscribers have asked. "Yes," he said, "it looks like I am fighting Ksi." There will still be many details to hash out, including the venue where the match will take place,...
