Married to Medicine star Dr. Jackie Walters says she is “brokenhearted” but “moved to be better” amid controversy over comments she made in 2020. Walters, an Ob-gyn, is facing backlash from fans after saying in an interview with costar Dr. Heavenly Kimes on the latter’s Heaven Help Us podcast that Black women sometimes cry wolf with their doctors during pregnancy, as Deadline reports. “Sometimes as African-American women, we’re a bit more dramatic, and that you go to the doctor, and you complain, and you complain, and you complain, and you’re not taken seriously because you cried wolf the entire pregnancy,” Walters said at the time. “As African-American women, we want to also make sure you’re being serious with your doctor and not playing the game … Because then, we see you 25 times in the pregnancy, it’s hard to believe that there’s a true problem when there’s a true problem.

Dr. Jackie Walters, star of Bravo’s Married to Medicine, has issued an apology after backlash over resurfaced comments from 2020 saying Black women “cry wolf” during their pregnancy.
“I’m taking a much-needed pause to address comments that I made during a 2020 live interview with one of my castmates,” Dr. Jackie said in a video posted on her Instagram page. “First and most importantly to Black women and mothers, including your friends and the medical community who care for you because my words left you hurt and feeling unsupported.”
She continued, “I want you to know I hear you, I see you, I believe you, and I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I am brokenhearted over this. The guilt and reality that I have hurt and offended people, especially Black women and some of my own patients, pains me to my core.”

“Vanderpump Rules” star Rachel “Raquel” Leviss is not part of the BravoCon 2023 lineup that was revealed Friday morning. The former pageant queen and Scandoval participant has not been filming the Bravo reality show — currently in production for eleventh season — and appeared this week on Bethenny Frankel’s podcast to speak out against the network.
Among her claims, Leviss says she has not “seen a penny” after the highly-rated tenth season that focused on her secret relationship with costar Tom Sandoval, who was in a long-term relationship with Ariana Madix. On Friday, Leviss announced she has no plans to return to reality TV and has a “no contact” policy with her former castmates.
Frankel is also not part of the BravoCon lineup, which moves from New York to Las Vegas this year.
Also notably absent from the confirmed list is “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Mary Cosby, who rejoins...

Ian Smith, the former host of the syndicated daytime talk show “The Doctors,” has filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New York State Division of Human Rights alleging racial discrimination and retaliation on the part of ViacomCBS and the show’s producers.
Smith, who was named as the sole host of the show in a drastic reformatting last August, claims his efforts to make the show more inclusive were repeatedly rebuffed by white producers until he was terminated in early January and replaced by a white host.
The complaint lists ViacomCBS, Stage 29 Productions and executive producers Patty Ciano and Jay McGraw as respondents.
“If my client didn’t complain about racism, he would still be the host of ‘The Doctors,'” Smith’s attorney, Rick Ostrove, said in a statement. “His repeated complaints are a show of courage. He stuck his neck...

This week on Married to Medicine, Dr. Jackie continues to try and deal with Curtis’ cheating even as more lurid details of his affair come to light. Last week we saw a very emotional Jacqueline Walters tell the other woman that: “Watching the one man I knew loved me unconditionally have made the decision that he made and the way I found out about it, was crushing.” Tearfully she went on to say: “It was humiliating, there were so many emotions that I went through. The one thing I’ve learned with this is that you don’t stop loving the person.” Dr....read more...
