The most recent episode of Outlander, "Ye Dinna Get Used to It," featured some major turns for the characters, including a reunion between Jamie, Claire and Lord John Grey as well as a dinner with famous historical figures like George Washington and the Marquis de Lafayette. It was also a special episode because it was written by Diana Gabaldon, the author of the Outlander book series. This is the third episode she's written in the history of the series, and she talked about the process to Parade.
“They did change quite a bit from the first draft, but largely to change emphasis, rather than plot," Gabaldon said. “Some lines were changed—when Claire (book) sees Jamie in his new uniform and he asks whether he looks decent to inspect troops, she replies, ‘You look like bloody Mars, god of war. You're likely to frighten your men.’ To which he replies,...

Every episode in this season of Outlander thus far has left us on the edge of our seats for one reason or another. Whether it was wondering if Jamie (Sam Heughan) has died in a shipwreck or wondering if Lord John Grey (David Berry) had died from a gunshot, there has been so much going on.
The creators and executive producers of the series had been alluding to a very emotional journey ahead, and they were not wrong. There has been so much action and drama, and this week's episode continues to pack the punches in.
We have a lot to discuss, so let's not waste a single second and get right into the chaos of "Hello, Goodbye."
The past meets the present, er the present meets the past?
Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh) and Roger (Richard Rankin) open up the episode this week as they continue their search to potentially find Roger's father.

Last week's episode of Outlander was...interesting, to say the least. I am not sure if interesting is the correct word, because I was suffering from intense anxiety after learning that Jamie (Sam Heughan) was no more. However, I refused to believe it then and I maintained that mindset as I started this new episode, "A Hundredweight of Stones."
Not only did we learn of Jamie's supposed demise in last week's episode, we also learned that Lord John (David Berry) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) must marry immediately. This is primarily due to the fact that she is being accused of being a spy, and in order to protect her, this is a step they must take.
What about Jamie? He is going to come back, right? They can't quite possibly do this...can they?
Tune in below to read our review to find out what goes down in "A Hundredweight...

The confirmation that Bridgerton will, in fact, have eight seasons — one for each of the eight Bridgerton siblings — realigns viewers' imaginings of who will be the focus of each season until the finale. Bridgerton made a stunning debut into the world of streaming TV, with season 1 following the courtship and marriage between the fourth Bridgerton child and oldest daughter Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Regé-Jean Page). Each season of Bridgerton has only gotten better reviews than the last, as the story moved on to Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley), then Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan).
Bridgerton season 4 will tell the story of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), but what happens after is still being debated. Francesca (Hannah Dodd) has achieved her first marriage as depicted in Julia Quinn's books, only for her gender-swapped love interest Michaela (Masali Baduza) to be introduced,...

Outlander Season 7 has returned and each of the two episodes released so far has been a constant rollercoaster for Richard Rankin's Roger MacKenzie. Roger, alongside his cousin, Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh), have traveled back in time to search for Roger’s kidnapped son, Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller). The mid-season premiere saw the pair landing in the wrong time period, with constant shocking revelations following. Friday's episode was no different, as Roger's world turns upside down even further, as he realizes that the faerie man who he'd presumed to be Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton) - the man who kidnapped Jem - was in fact his own father.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Outlander, Season 7, Episode 10, “Brotherly Love.”] Outlander made way for two major returns in its latest episode, “Brotherly Love,” as Lotte Verbeek and Graham McTavish reprised their roles as Geillis Duncan and Dougal MacKenzie. But while fans may have been clued into their latest appearance, the context around it became clear as this installment unfolded. As fans were teased in the previous episode, Roger (Richard Rankin) was searching for his son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller) and was directed towards Geillis. It turns out that there have been whisperings in the village about a “fairy man” who he thinks could be Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton). Sending out for the men who crossed paths with this “fairy man” a group of Highlanders come knocking on Geillis’s door, among them is Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) uncle, and Roger’s ancestor, Dougal. But instead of being familiar with one another, it turns out that this...

True to its nature, Outlander returned with its Season 7 mid-season premiere, and there wasn't a shortage of exciting time-traveling twists to get into. Chief and perhaps, most significant among them was Roger (Richard Rankin) and Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh) being displaced in time to a period they were not expecting to arrive in. Having traveled through the standing stones at Craigh Na Dun to find Rogers son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller), who was kidnapped by Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton). Roger and Buck find themselves in a time period where Jamie's father, Brian Fraser (Andrew Whipp), is still Laird at Lallybroch, with a younger Jenny (Kristin Atherton) helping run the household.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Outlander, Season 7, Episode 9, “Unfinished Business.”] Outlander‘s return has brought with it plenty of exciting time-traveling twists as Roger (Richard Rankin) and Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh) found themselves displaced in time to a period at Lallybroch where Brian Fraser (Andrew Whipp) is still Laird, overseeing his family, including a younger Jenny (Kristin Atherton). Before the long-running, beloved fantasy series comes to an end, Outlander must answer some pressing questions as season 7, part 2, and season 8 loom. Sam Heughan and Caitrona Balfe have played Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall Fraser in the Starz adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's book series since the premiere in 2014. After many years and instances of time travel since then, Claire and Jamie have found themselves in the thick of many revolutions and world events. As Outlander Season 8 draws closer, how the series will wrap up the story is of great importance.
It's been confirmed that Outlander season 8 will change the book's ending since Gabaldon likely won't be finished writing the last book in the series before season 8 premieres. As Outlander season 8 has already wrapped filming ahead of the premiere of season 7, part 2, the story's finale has been set in stone, and hopefully, the creative team has worked to wrap up every loose end.

While Bridgerton season 4 may be all about Benedict (Luke Thompson), fan-favorite Eloise (Claudia Jessie) will get her season at some point, and it will be a huge problem if it follows her book storyline. The books in Julia Quinn's romance Bridgerton series each center on a Bridgerton sibling finding true love amidst the backdrop of Regency-era high society London. Adapted into a smash-hit Netflix series by Shonda Rhimes, the first three seasons saw Daphne, Anthony, and Colin Bridgerton get their happily ever afters.
Though she's never had a full-blown romance plot of her own, Eloise Bridgerton has played a major role in each season. Eloise is introduced as the black sheep of the family, an independent thinker who would rather spend her days reading and discussing ideas than dancing at balls and looking for a husband. The showrunner of Bridgerton has not revealed who will be the lead of season 4. However, the lead will either be Benedict, Eloise, or Francesca. Benedict Bridgerton seems like the most likely lead for season 4.
Bridgerton season 4's lead is one of three characters. The popular Netflix show is based on the Regency era romance novels by Julia Quinn, where each of the eight books follows the love life of a different sibling from the wealthy Bridgerton family. Seasons 1 and 2 followed the chronology of the books by following Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), but season 3 skipped directly to Colin's (Luke Newton) love story from book 4, leaving the lead character from the upcoming Bridgerton season 4 a mystery.

The exhilarating rush of flirtation runs through the beginning of Alyin Tezel’s romantic drama but it’s the slowburn of connection that becomes the focus as they/won’t they tale unfolds. Initially the wintry melancholy of Skye matches the mood of Kira (who is also played by Tezel). She’s supposed to be on the island as part of a loved-up getaway but after splitting up with her boyfriend Aidan (Rory Fleck Byrne) it has become a journey into solitude.
But when she encounters Ian in the local pub, the sparks of attraction are immediately evident. The kinetic camerawork from Julian Krubasik has a heady immediacy that carries us with them as they horse about in the deserted late night streets of the town.

Falling Into Place Photo: Glasgow Film Festival
From the moment that Kira (Aylin Tezel) and Ian (Chris Fulton) meet, it’s clear that there’s something between them that goes beyond just sexual attraction. They have instant chemistry, and every moment of their adventure together on the Isle of Skye is electric. What makes Falling Into Place unusual, however, is that instead of following them as they immediately embark on a romance, we see them part and go back to their separate lives. They spend most of the film apart, and we see how that connection, and the shift in perspective it has precipitated, changes how they relate to everything else they have to deal with.
As well as starring, Aylin wrote and directed the film. Shortly before the 2024 Glasgow Film Festival, where it’s due to screen, I met up with her to ask about that central concept and the process of developing it.

Henry Cavill showcases his sword skills in eight epic fights as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher, with varying levels of entertainment and choreography. Evaluating Cavill's swordsmanship should focus on his duels with armed opponents, as fights with monsters depend more on strength and witcher potions. From defending Duny to dueling with Vilgefortz, Cavill's fights exhibit power, skill, and impressive choreography, with each scene offering its own unique spectacle.
Henry Cavill wows fans in eight epic fights across his three seasons playing Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix original series, The Witcher. Some fights are more entertaining than others, but all of them showcase Cavill's incredible ability as a stuntman and actor. While it's a shame that Cavill has officially stepped away from The Witcher after his third season playing Geralt, it's now appropriate to evaluate and pass judgment upon Cavill's numerous combat scenes.

Warning! Spoilers about Outlander season 7, episode 8, and the Outlander books ahead. The first part of Outlander season 7 ended with an explosive midseason finale that concluded some storylines introduced in the season and kicked off new ones that will be central in its second part. With Outlander season 7, episode 7’s ending confirming to Roger (Richard Rankin) that Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton) had traveled with Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller) to the past, the 1980s timeline all focused on the Mackenzies separating, as Buck and Roger planned to follow Cameron and Jemmy through the stones at Craigh na Dun. Although Outlander season 7, episode 8 didn’t expand on where Buck and Roger ended up, the Outlander books hint at things not going smoothly for them.
While the Mackenzies saw little happening besides Buck and Roger’s time travel, the 1777 timeline was full of events. The aftermath of the first battle of Saratoga had Claire (Caitriona Balfe) fearing for the worst,...

Netflix has released a new behind-the-scenes video, where Henry Cavill can be seen rehearsing one of the toughest battle sequences from The Witcher. Right when the third season of the successful fantasy series began, Geralt had been hiding for a long time, but he never expected to have to defend himself in a big battle immediately. When Rience (Chris Fulton) confronts him in the elves ruins of Sherrawedd, the warrior must bring out his best fighting skills to prevent the antagonist from harming him or any of his allies. As audiences might expect from the show at this point, hand-to.hand combat is always intense when Geralt is around.

Warning: Minor spoilers for The Witcher season 3 Part 1.
The Witcher season 3 recast Rience, making it hard not to wonder why the show replaced the previous actor who played him in season 2. Netflix's The Witcher first introduced Rience in season 2, where he was initially serving his sentence at a Cintran prison. That's when Lydia van Bredevoort visited him and proposed an offer, which involved finding and capturing Ciri. Rience took the job, and as a result, his entire The Witcher season 2 arc revolved around his pursuit of finding the princess.
During his journey in The Witcher season 2, he kidnaps Jaskier and even tortures him to make him disclose Geralt and Ciri's whereabouts. Fortunately for Jaskier, Yennefer comes to his rescue in The Witcher season 2 and counters Rience's fire attack by spitting alcohol on him. Scorned by Yennefer's attack, Rience doubles down his efforts to track down Ciri in The Witcher season 3. This time around,...

Munich-based sales agency Global Screen has acquired romantic drama “Falling Into Place” for worldwide theatrical distribution. The English-language film is written and directed by Aylin Tezel, one of Germany’s leading young actors, and stars Tezel (“7500”) and Chris Fulton (“Bridgerton”).
