Riverdale Season 5 Episode 1
“Clearly our last two weeks of high school are going to be fraught…”
Friends, on this day we find this country starting a new chapter, one that is full of hope and excitement for the future.
I am of course referring to the airing of Riverdale‘s season premiere, a somewhat wheel-spinning, melodramatic affair that feels more like the closing pages of a book than the start of another story.
And that’s because it is precisely that. This episode was a leftover from last year, filmed but not completed production until the pandemic lockdown was over. As such it thrusts us into the start of the endgame of last season’s storylines — namely the fallout of the Betty and Archie kiss, Mr. Lodge’s illness and how he is using vigilantism to cope with it, the mysterious (and suitably anachronistic videotapes...

Don't mess with Edgar Evernever.
On Riverdale Season 4 Episode 3, airing tonight on The CW, Betty, and Charles get desperate as they try to save their mother and sister from the clutches of the Farm.
With Charles being an FBI agent, Betty has a front-row seat to finding out what is actually going on.
The CW dropped a sneak peek for "Dog Day Afternoon," and it shows both Betty and Charles being played at their own game.

After Charles reveals that Edgar and his people have been hiding in an abandoned motel, he drops the bombshell that Evelynn has been answering the door to the pizza delivery man.
Naturally, Charles counters that by sending one of his agents disguised as a delivery man, and it ends in sheer panic.
The clip seemingly lets us hear the officer being gunned down, before Edgar appears on the line,...

Archie busts out of juvie and the Gryphons & Gargoyles saga takes a fascinating turn in a riveting Riverdale.
This Riverdale review contains spoilers.
Riverdale Season 3 Episode 5
"I saw Archie, he's caught up in some diabolical teen fight club and I need to break him out of juvie before he dies or kills someone."
If you are as obsessed with Riverdale as we here at Den of Geek are and want to indoctrinate your friends into the show a la the televisual equivalent of The Farm, just quote them the above sentence as it pretty much sums up the series in a nutshell. Season 3 has been very, very good thus far, but when Veronica burst into the room where her pals her discussing the murderous RPG taking over the town (!) to deliver this oh-so goofy statement with a deadly seriousness it struck us that Riverdale has transcended guilty pleasure status and become bona fide great television.

Hey, fellow "Riverdale" fans. We hope you guys enjoyed last Wednesday's episode 4. It was pretty interesting to see the history of the kid's parents get revealed.
