Another KarJenner sister is facing criticism over their beauty line.
Kim Kardashian West‘s casting call for her beauty line Kkw caught the attention of James Charles on Tuesday — he was named the first male CoverGirl in 2016 — for solely asking women to try out for the modeling opportunity.
Charles, 18, tweeted at Kardashian West, writing, “Sister @KimKardashian! There are thousands of boys in cosmetics who love you & I’m sure would be honored to slay a photo shoot for you! This is disappointing,” while also adding a frown emoji.

In light of the YouTube Adpocalypse, and given the risks that brands inevitably take in partnering with online influencers -- who are bound to make off-color comments given the glut of content that they share about their lives each day -- many top advertisers today are beginning to seek influencer whitelists in order to better ensure brand safety.
Whitelists, or pre-approved rosters of creators that brands feel they can work with risk-free, are less scalable and more expensive to compile than blacklists, according to Digiday -- though recent developments may have made them necessary. Whereas in the past, brands might team with thousands of influencers on a campaign, giving them a fair amount of freedom to make posts as they saw fit, certain highly sponsored influencers have found themselves in hot water in recent months. Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, for instance, was dropped by Disney and YouTube for making anti-Semitic jokes,...

The PewDiePie controversy, which rocked the YouTube community this week, has brought into sharp focus the potential risks that big brands take when going into business with digital stars -- creators who share their unvarnished lives with audiences on a daily basis, and who are prone to making off-color comments that cross a line.
The latest creator to illustrate this plight is 17-year-old James Charles, who made history after being tapped as CoverGirl’s first male spokesmodel last October. Yesterday, as Charles was getting ready for a school trip to Africa, he quoted, in a now-deleted tweet, a conversation between himself and a friend: "'I can’t believe we’re going to Africa today Omg what if we get Ebola.’ ‘James, we’re fine, we could’ve gotten it at Chipotle last year’…”
