Gelila Puck
Gelila Assefa Puck is an fashion designer, and philanthropist who was
born and schooled in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She is the founder of Dream
For Future Africa Foundation which is dedicated to providing
opportunity and equity for those most in need in Africa. For more than
a decade, Ms. Puck has been active in supporting women's global health
initiatives and the advancement of orphaned children in Africa. Ms.
Puck lives in California with her husband, master chef Wolfgang Puck
and their two children. Ms. Puck's work with the communities of her
Ethiopian homeland was the subject of a recent major feature on CNN
International. Ms. Puck has been honored for her philanthropic work by
Essence Magazine, BMW, and VERTU. She has also received the 2009
Champion of Children Award from the Children's Institute of Los Angeles
where she serves on the Board of Trustees. Dream For Future Africa
Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization designated as such by the U.S.
Internal Revenue Service.
