[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for NCIS Season 21 Episode 7 “A Thousand Yards.”] For a milestone as major as the franchise’s 1,000th episode, NCIS pulls out all the stops, from guest stars (LA‘s Daniela Ruah as Kensi! Hawai’i‘s Vanessa Lachey as Jane! Joe Spano as Fornell!) to Easter eggs (like connections in the case to dead characters like Tom Morrow and Kate Todd and it all linking back to the mothership’s very first investigation). It also starts off by putting one of the agency’s own in the hospital. While visiting his late wife’s grave and then having an awkward, tense conversation with his son, Jared (Spence Moore II), Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) is shot by a sniper. While Carroll, speaking with TV Insider for our weekly aftershow, NCIS: Case Closed, never worried about being killed off, he does recall of the initial conversation he had with the episode’s writer,...

The 1,000th episode of the NCIS franchise is coming up, and we finally have a full synopsis.
This will be the 1,000th episode across all NCIS shows, including the spin-offs like Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Hawai’i.
It’s a big event for the franchise, and they even celebrated it on the NCIS set with a big cake.
Chris O’Donnell was on hand for that day. He used to play G. Callen on the NCIS: Los Angeles cast and his presence led to rumors about a guest star appearance.
Actor Sean Murray (Agent Timothy McGee) shared a set photo that revealed someone special returning to the NCIS cast. It will be a nice treat, but that’s not the only familiar face we will see on the big night.
Daniela Ruah (Kensi Blye on NCIS: LA) and Vanessa Lachey (Jane Tennant on NCIS: Hawai’i) also appear in Episode 1,000.

There’s a big NCIS crossover coming!
Two big stars from the NCIS universe will be appearing on the Monday, April 15 episode of NCIS for the franchise’s 1,000th episode.
The two stars will not appear “in person” alongside the NCIS team, but the appearances will “nonetheless be quite fun,” TVLine reports.
Director Leon Vance’s son Jared, to be played by Spence Moore II, will also appear, TVLine also reports.
NCIS co-showrunner David North told the outlet: “One of our own beloved characters is going to end up in grave danger, and you’re go to see all of the different franchises brought into this in a little bit of a different way.”
Co-showrunner Steven D. Binder added: “There’ll be a personal storyline, and this one will circle around Director Vance,” played by Rocky Carroll.

The NCIS franchise is celebrating quite the milestone this April, with its 1,000th episode slated to air on the mothership. While there is only one other NCIS show on right now—Hawai’i airs after NCIS on Mondays—the 1,000th episode, airing on April 15, will feature appearances from at least one character whose series has already ended. Daniela Ruah, who played Kensi Blye on NCIS: LA (and directed a recent episode of NCIS), and Vanessa Lachey, who stars as Jane Tennant on Hawai’i, will be part of the milestone, according to TVLine, though they won’t be in D.C. “in person.” According to the outlet, their guest spots should be “quite fun.” The outlet also reports that Spence Moore II will be taking over the role of Vance’s (Rocky Carroll) son in the installment. Back on the Strip is a comedy movie directed by Chris Spencer from a screenplay by Chris Daniel and Eric Spencer. The comedy movie follows the story of Merlin (Spence Moore II), who moves to Las Vegas in hopes of making it as a magician, but instead because of his good looks and great body gets recruited into the Black male strippers The Chocolate Chips. Back on the Strip also stars Wesley Snipes and Tiffany Haddish. So, if you loved Back on the Strip here are some similar movies you should watch next.

There have been funny male stripper movies (The Full Monty), auteur-directed male stripper movies (Magic Mike), Black male stripper movies (three Chocolate City films). Now comes Back on the Strip, yet another attempt to wrest humor and drama from the spectacle of scantily clad men gyrating to audiences of wildly appreciative women. The independent film receiving a wide release definitely leans toward the funnier end of the spectrum, with its overqualified cast including many formidable comedic talents. But despite some amusing moments, it never really takes off, burdened by a tiresome romantic subplot that periodically stops the movie dead in its tracks.
The story revolves around Merlin (Spence Moore II), whose name stems from his lifelong desire to pursue a career as a magician. His supportive single mother Verna (Tiffany Haddish), who narrates the proceedings, encourages him in his dreams and roots for him when he makes an appearance at a local talent contest.

"It's time for you to get on stage, and do it your way!" Gvn Releasing is handling the US opening of this comedy titled Back on the Strip, made by writer / actor Chris Spencer. While it's not made explicity clear in the trailer, this seems like a spoof of the Magic Mike movies, with an old crew of male strippers coming back for a revival show in Las Vegas. "The Chocolate Chips" must get together again to help out a friend of theirs, a magician named Merlin, who is sent by his mom to Vegas to get his act together. The old crew features Wesley Snipes, Jb Smoove, Gary Owen, Bill Bellamy, and Faizon Love (the funniest one in this), along with Spence Moore II, Tiffany Haddish, and Raigan Harris. This looks like it has some good jokes and funny lines, but it also looks extremely cheesy, especially set in Vegas.

Just to get it out of the way: the first Creed is the best Rocky film. They share the same formula, a foundation no doubt solidified by the ‘70s sports classic, but Ryan Coogler perfected it to shape a framework that would become emblematic of so many lega-sequels thereafter. The backslide of a follow-up, Creed II, seemed to trade fully in nostalgia, and leaning so hard into the Rocky IV of it all felt cheaper in comparison. A safety net. In such terms Creed III’s success may hinge on a viewer’s love for the Rocky franchise overall. For devotees, Sylvester Stallone’s absence as the Philly icon may leave something of an emotional vacuum. For those unattached, especially following a Drago-heavy part II, it’s almost immediately apparent how liberating Rocky Balboa’s vacancy is. A third installment can be hard to narratively justify in any franchise,...

We’re back for a third round of Adonis Creed’s life with Creed III. Making his directorial debut, Michael B. Halfway through his first professional fight — a title fight, no less — “Diamond” Dame Anderson (Jonathan Majors) uses a break between rounds to get rid of a tooth that his fierce competitor, Felix Chavez (Jose Benavidez), has knocked loose during their bruising battle. If that sounds painful, it looks even worse, but the former Golden Gloves champ simply spits it out, gets back in the ring, and wins big. He will not be deterred. Nothing will stop him. What could be scarier in a competitor than that?

Adonis Creed, like Rocky Balboa before him, is a fighter who faces down his demons and finds his triumph-of-the-human-spirit mojo, all leading up to his inevitable delivery of that knockout punch. The first two “Creed” films, like the six “Rocky” films, were rah-rah crowd-pleasers, with the hero taking on an adversary who represents the forces of darkness. The boxing foes in these movies are a little like comic-book supervillains: Clubber Lang, Ivan Drago, Drago’s vengeful son, and so on. They’ve been catchy and, at times, memorable characters, but it’s part of their appeal that they’re two-dimensional raging-bull enemies you would hardly rank as layered human beings.
But “Creed III,” directed with impressive first-time flair by its star, Michael B. Jordan, is infused with a different flavor. Adonis, having settled into retirement in his sleek L.A. mansion, appears to be sitting on top of the world.

Adonis Creed is no longer an underdog, but Creed III needs us to believe he still is.
The latest installment of the popular Rocky follow-up series, helmed by Michael B. Jordan in his directorial debut, builds itself upon this shaky foundation.
If we take its claims at face value, Creed III is a rousing success, a slick, cool and inspiring narrative about boxing’s prince trying to defend his title and honor. Adonis (played by Jordan) has come a long way since his scrappy days in Ryan Coogler’s Creed, when chasing answers about his past and guidance for his future landed him in Philadelphia. In that film, the nearly forgotten son of Apollo finds in Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) a reluctant trainer and father figure. Creed imbued the franchise with new life without abandoning its sentimental core, a tricky balancing act that won over existing fans and courted a new generation of viewers.

In between moments of men barrelling toward each other in the 2023 Super Bowl, we got a look at men pummelling each other in the "Creed III" trailer. The upcoming boxing drama -- the ninth entry in the "Rocky" movie series that began in 1976 -- follows Adonis "Donnie" Creed (Michael B. Jordan) seven years on from 2018's "Creed II." Donnie is now a successful professional boxer and has settled into a happy home life with his partner Bianca Taylor (Tessa Thompson). But this seemingly perfect life is threatened when a face from Donnie's past turns up to cause trouble.

Next year’s “Creed III” will be a fresh start for the “Rocky” spinoff franchise in more ways than one. It will be the first “Creed” movie without the involvement of Sylvester Stallone, who executive produced and played Rocky Balboa in the first two films in addition to writing “Creed II.” The film will also be Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut, something he said was “always an aspiration.”
Without the shadow of Rocky Balboa, “Creed II” places Jordan’s Adonis Creed front and center. But Jordan doesn’t want to hog all the spotlight.
At a recent press conference to promote the movie (via Slash Film), Jordan spoke about his decision to cast Mexican boxer Canelo Álvarez in his first acting role. While the “Rocky” franchise has a proud tradition of casting former boxers, Jordan’s saw the casting as an opportunity to highlight Mexican boxers. He said it...

Adonis Creed is stepping back into the ring. And for the first time ever, he won’t be flanked by his longtime trainer Rocky Balboa.
While Michael B. Jordan’s eponymous character has always been the protagonist of the “Creed” franchise, Sylvester Stallone inevitably cast a large shadow over him in the first two films. But that’s about to change in “Creed III,” the first film in the “Rocky” spinoff franchise not to feature Stallone’s involvement on either side of the camera. In addition to reprising his role as Adonis Creed, Jordan is making his directorial debut on the film, working from a script written by Ryan Coogler, Keenan Coogler, and Zach Baylin.
The new film follows Adonis Creed as he goes to battle with Damian Anderson, a fierce new boxing opponent played by Jonathan Majors. Majors certainly gave the role everything he had — he recently revealed that...

Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points from Wednesday night’s episode of The Wonder Years.
ABC’s The Wonder Years has a connection to the original 90s series, which was revealed in tonight’s episode titled “Love & War” and it was poignant. The scene can be viewed above.
In the episode, Dean’s (Ej Williams) big brother Bruce (Spence Moore II) has returned home from Vietnam injured and with a secret—he has a girlfriend and she’s an older woman. While convalescing at home, the family wanted to know everything about Tammy (Yvonne Orji), who is later revealed to be a divorced, single mom.
Things are moving fast between Bruce and Tammy, much to his mom Lilian (Saycon Sengbloh), and Dean’s chagrin. Dean isn’t ready to share his brother with Tammy’s son Joey, and he’s even less excited about being his babysitter.

ABC’s The Wonder Years, a reimagining of the ‘80s sitcom starring Fred Savage (who serves as executive producer), had never shown any connection to the original series until this week’s episode.

On April 13, more than ever, the reimagining of The Wonder Years — set in 1969 Montgomery, Alabama— reminds fans of its heartfelt 1988–93 predecessor. In an episode that’s both emotional and funny, 20-year-old Williams son Bruce (Spence Moore II) returns from fighting in Vietnam. Yes, all those concerned viewers who didn’t like Bruce reenlisting earlier this season can exhale: “People were adamant, ‘If the brother dies, we’re going to be so upset,’” exec producer Saladin K. Patterson recalls. (Credit: ABC/Mathew Miller) The welcome-home celebration halts when the family meets Bruce’s girlfriend, Tammy, who they had no idea existed. While overseas “he’s had a relationship with her through letters for the past few months,” says Patterson. Add in that she’s in her mid-30s, divorced, and raising an 8-year-old son, and the family has questions, which come out in a comedic fantasy sequence as they wonder why...
