The Finals of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” are shaping up to be nothing more than “American Idol.” Of the eight finalists so far, a whopping six are singers: Susan Boyle, Angelica Hale, Kechi Okwuchi, Cristina Ramos, Paul Potts and Brian Justin Crum. The other two are a comedian (Preacher Lawson) and a knife-throwing duo (Deadly Games). No type of act has suffered more in this spinoff series than magicians, with 10-year-old Issy Simpson being the latest to be eliminated after her first performance. World-renowned illusionist Darcy Oake, who made a name for himself as the fifth-place act on “Britain’s Got Talent” Season 8, made his debut in front of American audiences during the third episode of “Agt: The Champions.” Darcy’s performance wowed the judges as he seemingly made Heidi Klum float in midair (watch above). Unfortunately, his stint on the spinoff reality TV show was short-lived as the Superfans, the voters who wield all the power this season, decided to send through opera singer Paul Potts instead. Did the Superfans get it wrong this week? Vote down in our poll below.

Magic is back on Broadway for the fourth holiday season, as the Vegas-style revue The Illusionists – Magic Of The Holidays returns for its annual razzle dazzle. Joining the five-magician touring show this time around is America’s Got Talent 2018 winner Shin Lim, whose close-up style remains a thing of elegant beauty whether or not you’ve already seen it on TV.
The limited engagement – playing at Broadway’s Marquis Theatre through Sunday, December 30 – is a new installment of the production, with returnee Adam Trent both performing and serving as emcee. Trent, who stars in his own Netflix series The Road Trick, is billed as “The Futurist,” a title that has nothing to do with predictions and everything to do with his very clever use of video projections: He seems to move in and out of the footage as if bringing the images to life.

It seems like forever ago that Britain's Got Talent was on telly this year, but one act we remember very well indeed is Darcy Oake - the magician who baffled us with doves and disappearing acts and all sorts.
Darcy has a 12-date tour of the UK planned for next year - and tickets are on sale now - while he's also got an ITV special airing on Saturday (December 27) at 9.50pm. So we thought it was a good idea to call up Darcy for a chat about his crazy year, what's to come next, what went really wrong with one dove, and why Simon Cowell would put him off in the audience...

In just over 24 hours' time, the 11 finalists on Britain's Got Talent will take to the stage one last time in an attempt to prove their worth (and win some money and a spot in the Royal Variety Show, of course). While it's hard to believe, the victorious act will be the eighth to take the crown.
Over the years, there has been a bit of a range of acts - we've had everything from dancers (George Sampson and Diversity) to singers (Paul Potts, Jai McDowall) to a gymnastic dance troupe (Spelbound) to a dog (Ashleigh & Pudsey) to well, whatever you would count Attraction as.
So, a variety, then. But this year, the complaints about too many singers - which have always bubbled in the background - have really started to gain ground. Are there just too many this year?
There are admittedly lots of crooners in tomorrow's big event: of 11 final acts,...

Jon Clegg has been picked as the 'Britain's Got Talent' wildcard act. The comedic impersonator will go through to this Saturday's (07.06.14) live final after being handpicked by the judges, despite previously losing his place in the competition in the very first semi-final of the series. Jon wowed the panel - including Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon - with his impression of 'Bgt' host Declan Donnelly last week, but the public decided to send boy band Collabro and magician Darcy Oake through to the final. Jon said: ''I'm on top of the world. I thought I was in with...

Jon Clegg has been chosen as the Britain's Got Talent final wildcard act.
The impressionist was selected by judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon as the 11th act to fight for the grand prize on Saturday (June 7).
Clegg missed out on the final after losing the deadlock vote to illusionist Darcy Oake, with Walliams and Holden choosing to save him.
His impressions have included Celebrity Big Brother narrator Marcus Bentley, Paul O'Grady and David Beckham.
He said: "I'm on top of the world. I thought I was in with a chance but there were so many strong contenders. I thought Bailey had a good chance - he is hugely talented. Also Light Balance, Innova and Jodi.
"I'm actually working for the next few days but I'll be rehearsing to make sure I'm 100% ready. My dad is absolutely over the moon. He's so made up for me.

"It was absolutely incredible returning to perform on the show on Saturday. It was a bit of a mad experience getting back to that situation where you're standing on that stage in front of the judges, but it was just so good to get back there and to give it 100%, and it was just such an enjoyable experience to meet up with the team again, say hello to the judges - it was brilliant. We loved every single second of it and we hope we can do it again. It was still really nervewracking obviously,...

'Britain's Got Talent' finalist Darcy Oake wants to use the money from the show to fund a rehab facility after his brother died of a drug overdose.
