There’s some big drama in the YouTube world involving Connor Franta and Daniel Preda.
Over the weekend, Daniel filmed a video with his ex Joey Graceffa where they took turns answering “uncomfortable questions.”
When asked who he was “most jealous of” while they were together, Daniel said that he was briefly jealous of Connor. However, he said that went away when he “realized that he’s the most boring person I’ve ever met.”
Connor caught wind and savagely hit back.
Keep reading to find out more…
Joey added that Daniel was “very jealous” at certain points over the course of their relationship. He also urged Daniel not to be “mean” when describing Connor.
He replied by saying that he was “just being honest.”
Taking to TikTok, Connor filmed a response.

With a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya-starrer has easily made a place for itself amongst the finest sci-fi films of all time. Clearly, the sequel is going to be a strong contender in the next award season.
Timothée Chalamet in Dune: Part Two
In fact, Dune: Part Two has managed to pull something off that not even the highest-grossing film of 2023 could – get the approval of columnist Ben Shapiro. Crazy, right? Well, Ben Shapiro recently came out with an eight-minute-long review of Timothée Chalamet’s Dune: Part Two, where he just couldn’t help himself from gushing over the film.

Ari Elkins is taking his music curation skills to the next level. The TikTok star, who recommends songs to his 1.9 million followers, is teaming up with Avex USA to launch a label called Blue Suede Records.
Blue Suede will look to “find, develop, and champion undiscovered talent,” according to a press release. Elkins, who is known for his keen ear, will lead the hunt for those up-and-coming artists. Avex USA, the American arm of the Japan-based Avex Group, will handle the logistical side of Blue Suede’s operations.
Avex USA has experience running a label thanks to its status as the overseer of Selene, a brand founded in 2021 and led by Lucas Thomashow. Like Elkins, some Selene signees — such as Sadie Jean and Billianne — have significant followings on TikTok.

Longtime vlogger Connor Franta is about to become a three-time published author with the announcement of his latest book, a multimedia tome titled House Fires.
The 300-page project comprises poetry, narratives, and photography, he says, and is currently available for preorder. An accompanying book trailer on his YouTube channel (below) features landscape photography as Franta voiceovers one of his poems in melodramatic fashion. “It’s so painful to be alive,” he recites, “I don’t want to live and I don’t want to die.”
House Fires is published by Atria Books, and will officially hit shelves on Sept. 21. Franta said on Twitter that he purposefully announced the project yesterday, on the first day of Pride Month. On Amazon, where it is available for preoder, the book is currently No. 1 in the 'American Poetry' category, and also previously soared to the top of the 'LGBTQ+ Biographies' charts.

Jake Paul’s contentious claim last month that he built YouTube’s first content house with Team 10 brought one of the space's forebearers into the spotlight -- the now-disbanded supergroup known as Our2ndLife (O2L).
O2L -- which comprises Connor Franta, Ricky Dillon, Sam Pottorff, Jc Caylen, Trevi Moran, and Kian Lawley -- is widely considered one of YouTube’s first big creator collectives, having spawned, at the height of their fame, a live tour and accompanying documentary. And though the group disbanded in 2014 to pursue solo careers, they reunited yesterday -- though on Twitch, not YouTube -- to play the popular multiplayer social deduction game Among Us. “Let’s go back to 2014 for a day,” read various teasers that the group posted on social media ahead of the event.

Vlogger and entrepreneur Connor Franta is the face of a new awareness campaign from global nonprofit DoSomething.org and Harry’s -- a men’s grooming upstart that donates 1% of sales to organizations that support mental health care for men.
The campaign, dubbed Mental Note: Take Time For Yourself, is aimed at getting young men across the country to practice self-care and find mental health resources. The campaign will seek to upend the stigmas that exist around young men to discussing mental health issues, which result in worse rates of symptom recognition and less of a likelihood to seek resources.
As part of the campaign, DoSomething has tapped Franta -- who previously discussed his struggles with depression in his memoir, Note To Self, and who counts 5.3 million YouTube subscribers -- to star in a new PSA video. YouTube kicked off Lgbtq+ Pride Month in the throes of an explosive scandal, amid calls to remove right-wing commentator Steven Crowder from its platform, after he was discovered to have extensively harassed Vox journalist Carlos Maza about his sexuality (and also promoted a T-shirt line emblazoned with the slogan ‘Socialism Is For F*gs). YouTube ultimately opted to let Crowder’s channel stand, but apologized to the Lgbtq+ community for the hurtful outcome.
Now, YouTube -- which has long been outspoken in its support for the Lgbtq+ community from a corporate marketing perspective -- has announced a new film produced alongside World Of Wonder (RuPaul’s Drag Race) and storytelling nonprofit StoryCorps titled Stonewall Outloud.
The documentary will chronicle the Stonewall Riots of 50 years ago -- a series of protests in New York against an anti-gay police raid on the Stonewall Inn bar that became a seminal event in the gay rights movement.

Over the past few years, YouTube has been harshly criticized for failing to censor violent or harassing content, while simultaneously allowing racist, misogynistic, or conspiracy theory-promoting content to thrive on the platform. And while the platform has since taken a few steps to correct this, banning those peddling harmful autism “cures” and conspiracy theorists of various stripes, many are arguing that the platform took a giant step in the wrong direction when it announced that it would not be taking action against a right-wing vlogger accused of harassing a gay journalist.

Controversial YouTube star Tana Mongeau, best known for her outlandish 'Storytime' videos and the ill-conceived TanaCon convention -- which spun into chaos but spawned a successful docuseries -- is hitting the road on a four-city U.S. tour.
Unlike TanaCon, however, Mongeau’s forthcoming outing will be produced in collaboration with a proven partner: the three-year-old Australian influencer touring company Amplify Live, which has partnered with the likes of Troye Sivan, Tyler Oakley, Connor Franta, and MyLifeAsEva in the past. While the company has previously focused on events in Australia and New Zealand, Mongeau’s tour marks its first stateside affair. For Beautycon 2018, YouTube creator Connor Franta stepped over to the other side of the camera.
Franta, who has over 5.5 million subscribers on YouTube where he posts a new video every week, photographed this year’s Beautycon in Los Angeles for Paper. He captured a number of attendees at the event, including YouTube creator Jay Versace, Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye, Instagram star Jordyn Woods, and makeup artist Daniel Ruiz Smith.
Franta isn’t new to photography. He’s been documenting his life via Instagram—where he has over 5.1 million followers—for years, and he spoke to Fast Company in 2015 about how to take the perfect photo for the social media platform. “When a moment in front of me appears to be particularly special, whether it be by beauty or experience, I capture it,” Franta told Fast Company. “I usually find a reason to justify taking that photo–symmetry, or color,...

Heard Well Radio, launched last year as an extension of three-year-old music label Heard Well, is expanding its reach. The station, which offers a selection of under-the-radar tracks curated by YouTube stars, has launched a channel on Slacker Radio.
Heard Well's Slacker station will feature not only the music preferred by YouTube stars but also the stars themselves; creators like Connor Franta (who is Heard Well's co-founder), Tyler Oakley, and The Dolan Twins are expected to introduce their own playlists. Heard Well will also host listening listening parties over the summer to support its growing radio station.
Slacker was acquired last year by LiveXLive, which is known for streaming music festivals. At the time of the acquisition, Slacker counted 1.5 million active users.
“Heard Well’s DNA is first and foremost music discovery and curation,” said Jeremy Wineberg, who co-founded Heard Well in 2015 alongside Franta and Andrew Graham, in a press release.

Jennifer Aniston was all smiles at We Day California despite a necessary accessory: a black wrist brace on her left arm.
In her first public appearance since announcing her split from actor Justin Theroux in February, the 49-year-old actress donned jeans and a We Day t-shirt under a blaze blazer. The jacket’s sleeves were rolled up to accommodate her brace, which she also wore to Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk’s engagement party in Los Angeles.
An observer tells People that Aniston happily greeted fans and signed autographs as she made her way down in the carpet at The Forum in Inglewood.

With close to 30,000 attendees, a slew of brand sponsors, thousands of digital media, advertising, marketing, and entertainment industry executives, and over 300 featured creators—not to mention all the prominent creators who aren’t featured—the massive online video industry event that is VidCon is a fantastic, if not hectic, time and place to make some deals. VidCon 2017 marks five years of attending for Graham, who is truly an industry vet. Having worked as a senior talent manager at both Fullscreen and Big Frame, Graham has been at CAA since last April, managing talent like Connor Franta (with whom he and Jeremy Wineberg...

Connor Franta made headlines when he came out as gay to his millions of online fans in 2014, but even in a world where self-exposure can lead to fame, Franta, 24, has held back.
For years the Hokah, Minn., native has privately suffered from depression, a struggle he writes about in a new book, Note to Self (his first memoir, 2015’s A Work in Progress, was a bestseller).

Tyler Oakley is celebrating Valentine’s Day in his own inimitable way -- and getting a little politically active in the process.
Oakley, who has collaborated previously with Heard Well, the influencer-driven record label founded by fellow YouTube star Connor Franta, has today announced the release of Break Up Jams -- a compilation of 13 of his favorite breakup songs. A portion of the proceeds from Break Up Jams will benefit Planned Parenthood, the nonprofit reproductive health organization that has come under fire following the election of President Donald Trump. Neither an exact release date nor the full Breakup Jams tracklist have been announced just yet.
