Max has given And Just Like That season 3 an official release window. Viewers will have to wait until 2025 for new episodes. Season 2 premiered 16 months after the first season, indicating that fans can expect a similar time frame for the next season.

And Just Like That season 3 now has an official release window. The show, which is a sequel to Sex and the City, follows the personal lives of New Yorkers Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis). Season 1, which followed Carrie reeling from the death of her husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth), premiered in late 2021 and was followed 16 months later by season 2, which reintroduced Sex and the City love interest Aidan Shaw (John Corbett).

Likely thanks to delays caused by the now settled dual Hollywood strikes, we won’t see the third season of Max’s And Just Like That until 2025.

The return was confirmed in a Max promo released earlier today with first looks of its upcoming 2024/2025 lineup. The spot also confirmed previously announced 2025 premieres for HBO’s Euphoria, The White Lotus and The Last of Us.

A specific premiere date for the Sex and the City continuation series was never set, but the writers room was back in operation beginning in early November following resolution of the WGA strike, and production start pending resolution of the SAG-AFTRA strike. It was just ratified last night with 78.33% of ballots in favor of the November 8 tentative agreement with the AMPTP.

It won’t be the first lengthy delay between seasons of the Sex and the City sequel. There were 15 months between the Season 1 finale on Feb.

With his work spanning decades of TV and film, and a warm presence that’s equally radiant across screens big and small, John Corbett has made an illustrious career from being “that guy” in “that rom-com.”

The 62-year-old actor is perhaps best known for his role as Aidan Shaw: Carrie’s second choice on the ’90s smash hit “Sex and the City” and the second-most controversial character in its contemporary Max spinoff, “And Just Like That…”

Corbett is equally celebrated for his breakout film performance as the leading man in indie darling “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” Nia Vardalos’ treasured love story from 2002 tells the tale of a sheltered woman and her enormous, meddlesome family introducing Corbett’s dashing fiance character, the magnanimous school teacher Ian Miller, to countless kooky relatives, the Greek Orthodox Church, and the healing power of Windex.

Sex and the City defined a generation, and now, fans love seeing three of the four favorite gals back for the revival/sequel And Just Like That…, navigating many different lives and personal challenges. Max officially renewed And Just Like That… ahead of its much-anticipated season two finale which will feature the return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha. Season two episode 11 – part two of “The Last Supper” – finally delivers the cameo fans of the original foursome have eagerly anticipated.

Even though Samatha won’t be sharing scenes with her former Sex and the City co-stars, Cattrall will be seen in a cameo, styled by Patricia Field and shot in secret. In an interview on Today with Hoda and Jenna, Kim Cattrall confirmed that shopping in Bergdorf’s and picking out a great outfit for her cameo felt like dipping her toe back in time and having a wonderful afternoon.

Sarah Jessica Parker was “excited” when she first learned John Corbett’s Aidan Shaw would be returning to the world of “Sex and the City” on Max’s hit spin-off series “And Just Like That.”

“I was especially excited, probably in large part, because I just love working with John Corbett so much,” Parker told TheWrap in an interview conducted ahead of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. “We just think he is very special and brings so much more — always — than what’s even written.”

Parker, an executive producer on the series, first learned of Corbett’s return in a preseason meeting with “And Just Like That” showrunner and executive producer, Michael Patrick King. Typically, King would pitch Parker on what he wants to do three or four months before the writers meet. These meetings focused on storylines specific to her character Carrie, the season’s overall theme and other actors’ storylines.

With his funky turquoise jewelry and wealth-deflecting charm, the corn-fed carpenter was everything his callous competition was not.
