The ending of the new Netflix sci-fi adventure movie Spaceman is somewhat ambiguous, especially regarding the fate of Adam Sandler's Jakub protagonist. The unique and existential Spaceman was directed by Johan Renck, known for his exceptional work on Chernobyl (2019), Breaking Bad (2009–2011), The Walking Dead (2010), Vikings (2013), and Bloodline (2015). Despite Renck's impressive filmography, Spaceman has received mixed reviews from critics off the bat, earning a Rotten Tomatoes score of just 50%.
Spaceman stars Sandler in another notable dramatic performance seen in previous works such as Uncut Gems, Punch-Drunk Love, and Hustle. Sandler's Jakub receives the unfortunate news that his wife Lenka, played by Academy Award nominee Carey Mulligan, wants to divorce him while he's halfway on an 8-month solo mission to outer space. Jakub is tasked with gathering samples of the mysterious yet mesmerizing Chopra Cloud that randomly became visible in the Earth's sky. During his trip, Jakub's emotional distress worsens regarding his marital status,...

Exclusive Trailer: First Look at Some of the Grotesque Monsters from Slavic Dark Fantasy Game ‘Gord’

We’ve talked about Team17 Digital and Covenant.dev’s upcoming dark fantasy Rts Gord several times now. We even touched on some of the monsters you’ll be facing when the game arrives next month. But hey, we can always use more monster reveals, right? That’s exactly what the developers have given us in a new trailer. And for you lovers of lore, we also have descriptions of several of the monsters you’ll be encountering, which draw from Slavic mythology and folklore.
Kicking things off is the creature known as Ardaven, whose rotted body is home to the spirits of Sloth and Repugnance. Inseparably bound to its swampy surroundings, Ardaven feeds on its home, then toxifies it with its own secretions. Although it cannot move its body, its demands, to anyone unlucky enough to venture near, are somehow inescapable.

Evan Dumouchel plays Tom, a mute from a sheltered background who rents a remote lake house in order to find himself, away from the influence of his church and his deeply religious family. On his first night, he meets Nina (Margaret Ying Drake), a captivating, mysterious woman who swims across the lake and never seems to leave the water.
