These are divisive times in the USA, but few things bring Americans together like the Super Bowl.

And singer Lauren Daigle is preparing for the biggest moment of her career after being selected to serenade over 100 million viewers with her pregame rendition of “America the Beautiful.”

The 33-year-old Louisiana native — who is best known for her Christian contemporary hits like “Trust In You” and “O’Lord” — has faced many setbacks throughout her career.

Fresh off his five Grammy wins for “Not Like Us,” Kendrick Lamar says fans can expect further “storytelling” at his Super Bowl Lix halftime performance in New Orleans on Sunday night.

The conversation eventually expands to the British involvement in the transatlantic slave trade and other major historical issues. A year after the terrorist bombing at her concert in Manchester, Ariana Grande is paying tribute to the 22 victims of the attack on her new album, “Sweetener.”

Don Lemon didn’t think much of Kanye West’s claim on TMZ yesterday that African slavery in America seemed like a “choice.” On his show Tuesday evening, the CNN anchor said the rapper was embarrassing himself and should read a book.

On Friday night, three hours after Kanye West dropped a nonsensical ditty on his website called “Lift Yourself” that, combined with weeks of unhinged pro-Trump tweeting, had many thinking he’d truly lost it, the Mc dropped an actual song at midnight E.T. — “Ye vs. the People,” a point-for-point debate about his recent behavior with his friend, veteran rapper T.I.

In it, West makes some of his most coherent, if still highly debatable and naive, arguments about his pro-Trump stance to date: “Make America Great Again had a negative reception/ I took it, wore it, rocked it, gave it a new direction… Y’all been leadin’ with hate, see I just approach it different/ Like a gang truce, the first Blood to shake the Crip’s hand.”

But to his credit, West allows T.I. plenty of room to make his case as well:

The latest episode of Kanye West’s twitter rampage — which has been ongoing since April 14 — continued unabated over four hours on Wednesday morning, during which he veered wildly between topics like his clothing line, his management and legal situation, his upcoming music, and, inevitably, Donald Trump.

West met with the president late in 2016 and has unsettled many fans with his pro-Trump and seeming right-wing tweets, although it’s unclear whether he’s serious or just trolling. He added more fuel to the fire with a series of tweets Wednesday:

“Free thinkers don’t fear retaliation for your thoughts. The traditional thinkers are only using thoughts and words but they are in a mental prison. You are free. You’ve already won. Feel energized. Move in love not fear. Be afraid of nothing. …
