Hey, "So You Think You Can Dance" fans. We're back to give you another new round of preview information. In this session, we've got new details for what will be taking place in the next, new episode 8 of this season 18, which is due out tonight, May 6, 2024. Fox put out an official press release for tonight's new episode 8. So, we're going to take a look at it right now. Let's go. To start, there's a title for tonight's new episode 8. It's called, "Challenge #4: On Tour." That means you guys will see the remaining top 5 contestants get hit with challenges that requires them to perform as if they were on a real life tour with musician T-Pain. The dances they're performing are choreographed by Fullout Cortland and Kyle Hanagami. The bottom performers will get another chance to serve up one last dance for their lives, and another person will sadly get eliminated at the end.

The original ‘Mean Girls’ star on Monday night celebrated the premiere of the musical movie with writer-producer Tina Fey, who reprises her role as Ms. Norbury from the 2004 comedy classic, and Angourie Rice, who takes on Lohan’s role as Cady Heron.

Derek Hough continues his reign as one of the lords of the dance, scoring three nominations for the just-unveiled World Choreography Awards (sister Julianne Hough also makes a showing this year).

His nominations include ABC’s “Step Into…the Movies” special as well as their long-running “Dancing with the Stars,” and also Hough’s work on the music video for Michael Bublé’s “Higher.” However, married choreographers Phillip and Makenzie Chbeeb, also scored three noms each, including one with Hough for the “Higher” video, as well as for the “Zed Ramadan” TV commercial and ABC’s recent “Beauty and The Beast” anniversary special.

Jamal Sims, nominated for three Emmys this year in the choreography categories for his various projects—including Paramount+’s “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies“—garnered two nods, including his work on Netflix’s “13 the Musical” and the live “Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl.”

Mean Girls is getting the movie musical treatment!

The original hit movie, which starred Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, Jonathan Bennett and more, debuted in theaters in 2004 and was later turned into a Broadway musical, which debuted in 2018.

Tina Fey wrote both the movie and the book for the Broadway musical, and now, she’s adapted it into a movie version of the musical, with music by her husband Jeff Richmond and lyrics by Nell Benjamin.

Arturo Perez Jr. and Samantha Jayne are directing, with choreography by Kyle Hanagami.

Here is the synopsis: “Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George.

Olivia Rodrigo's macabre heartbreak anthem "Vampire" is like a wooden stake through the heart, but Kyle Hanagami and his dance crew are here to heal our emotional wounds with their supernaturally smooth dance moves. Inspired by the debut single from Rodrigo's sophomore album, "Guts," Hanagami's choreography is sorrowful, spooky, and packed with the kind of emotion that would leave even the moodiest vampires in awe.

The first group to execute the routine - Haley Fitzgerald, Haley Jonae, and Maycee Steele - delivered a fluid performance with moments of thoughtful nonchalance. A casual flip of the wrist or turn of the head punctuated the song's most temperamental moments before the crew went all out at the crescendo. The “Mean Girls” musical has cast “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm as Coach Carr. The Emmy-winning actor and star of “Confess, Fletch” and “Beirut” will play the school’s gym teacher and sex-ed instructor. The film will adapt the Broadway musical, which in turn was an adaptation of the 2004 theatrical comedy “Mean Girls.”

The Paramount film, about a teen girl who moves from Africa with her anthropologist parents and finds herself unprepared for the community dynamics of an American public high school earned solid reviews and grossed $130 million worldwide on a $17 million budget in early 2004, becoming a generational touchstone on par with “Clueless” and “Heathers.” This live-action musical version will debut on Paramount+.

Exclusive: Primetime Emmy nominee Jenna Fischer is boarding the ensemble cast of Paramount Pictures’ new Mean Girls film based on the Tony-nominated Broadway musical in the role of Ms. Heron, Cady Heron’s mom.

Ana Gasteyer played Cady’s Mom in the original 2004 movie which grossed over $130M WW. The Mean Girls musical feature is currently planned for Paramount+.

Fischer joins previously announced cast includes Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp, Auli’i Cravalho, Jaquel Spivey, Tina Fey, Tim Meadows, Avantika, Christopher Briney, and Bebe Wood.

The film is based on the 12 Tony nominated stage musical Mean Girls written by Fey, with music by Richmond and lyrics by Nell Benjamin. Kyle Hanagami is choreographing the pic.

Organizers MRC Live and Alternative Tubefilter unveiled nominees for the 2021 YouTube Streamy Awards on Wednesday. The list of noms range from up-and-comers to global stars including Bill Gates, Lil Nas X, Nick Jonas, Hailey Bieber, Ryan Reynolds and Will Smith.

Winners will be announced in December during a livestreamed ceremony. Additional creator appearances and show details are to come.

This year’s top nominees include MrBeast (with seven nominations) along with Emma Chamberlain, true crime and makeup maven Bailey Sarian, Bella Poarch, gaming collective FaZe Clan, comedic gamer Markiplier, and “kidfluencer” Ryan’s World. onthly, a startup that launched last year and hosts 30-day classes from experts in various creative fields -- including painting, music, cooking, and more -- has just onboarded former NASA engineer and noted YouTube creator Mark Rober to lead a course on creative engineering.

Monthly already offers curriculum from the likes of choreographer Kyle Hanagami and musician Ryan Tedder. The platform differs from other online learning startups, it says, in that participants are asked to produce works of their own by the end of the experience, marking a more active, hands-on process than passive video playlist consumption. During the class, participants are grouped into factions of 20 -- which can comprise existing friends or randomly-selected strangers -- allowing students to ask questions and glean feedback along the way.

Penned by Yoo, Olympic Boulevard is about a disgraced Korean American former K-Pop star who finds his chance at redemption and a possible comeback when he agrees to teach at one of the first K-Pop training schools in America.

Yoo executive produces with Meron and his producing partner Mark Nicholson. Hanagami serves as a producer. Universal TV, where Meron is under an overall deal, is the studio.

VidCon has nabbed some serious star wattage to headline kickoff concert YouTube Onstage -- a three-year-old entertainment showcase that takes place on the eve of the convention.

Pop superstar Meghan Trainor will make her YouTube Onstage debut, where she will be joined by YouTube-native stars like Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal, singer Kurt Hugo Schneider, choreographer Kyle Hanagami, and Sofie Dossi. At the Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, choreographer Kyle Hanagami put together some invigorating moves for the latest single off Sweetener. Ariana has said the song is about her struggles with anxiety, and serves as a reminder to "just keep breathin' and breathin'."

Ariana previously released music videos for "No Tears Left to Cry" and "God Is a Woman," however, a video for "Breathin" has yet to be released - making this dance video a welcome surprise in the interim. The 8th annual Streamy Awards are upon us and dick clark productions and Tubefilter have revealed the nominees. In addition, YouTube has been named the official presenting and distribution partner of this year’s event which takes place at 9 Pm Et/ 6 Pm Pt on Monday Oct. 22 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

As the global distribution partner, the ceremony will be streamed exclusively on YouTube.com. The Streamy Awards recognizes athletes, celebrities, gamers, and creators in the online space who have established themselves as emerging talent that have broken new ground and utilized digital platforms to entertain, educate and inspire on a massive scale.

This year David Dobrik leads the pack with six nominations, while veteran creator Casey Neistat and Escape The Night come in not far behind with five noms. This year also marks the first nomination for newcomer Emma Chamberlain who leads all females with four nominations.

Iconic choreographer Kyle Hanagami just dropped a dance routine video for Ariana Grande's "God Is a Woman," and "I don't wanna waste no time," so please watch it Asap. YouTube is bolstering its lineup for YouTube Onstage -- the second annual entertainment showcase that serves to kick off VidCon in Anaheim, Calif., on June 21.

Joining previously-announced headliners Marshmello, Liza Koshy, Collins Key, Merrick Hanna, and Kyle Hanagami at the event -- which serves to celebrate the biggest trends and artists on YouTube right now -- are: chef Rosanna Pansino, comedy star Swoozie, lifestyle creator LaurDIY, choreographer Matt Steffanina, wildlife educator Coyote Peterson, musicians Mike Tompkins, Sam Tsui, and Kurt Hugo Schneider, actress-dancer Alyson Stoner, violinist D Sharp, vlogger-actress Teala Dunn, drag performer Jaja, dancer B-Dash, Liza On Demand stars Kimiko Glenn and Travis Coles, singer Natti Natasha, and gymnast Sofie Dossi.

YouTube is teaming up again with Viacom-owned VidCon for a splashy evening event spotlighting music and homegrown creators at the online-video confab’s flagship U.S. event next month.

Recording artist and Edm DJ Marshmello, whose hits “Alone” and “Silence” have over 1 billion YouTube views, will headline the YouTube OnStage event and perform several of his fan favorites. Marshmello has over 14 million subscribers and 2.4 billion views to date on his three-year-old YouTube channel.

YouTube OnStage also will feature appearances by top creators, including Liza Koshy — who will appear alongside the cast of her YouTube original series “Liza on Demand” — along with Collins Key, Merrick Hanna, Kyle Hanagami and others.

The event will be held Thursday, June 21, at The Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., and will be open to all VidCon attendees through a ticket-lottery system.

The Luis Fonsi song, "Despacito" featuring Daddy Yankee has that honor with over 4 billion views, 24 million likes and 2 million dislikes. However, when it comes to the most viral YouTube videos, The Google-owned site says the top 10 trending videos were watched more than 633 million times, collectively for a combined total of 40 million hours.

The number one honor goes to a clip from a Thai singing competition, showing a man dressed in a full-body oyster suit crooning and rapping a song with a title that loosely translates to "Love you until the world turns into dust." Kyle Hanagami has choreographed some of our favorite dance videos, but his latest might just be his best yet. After saying "I do" in a stunning ceremony in Idaho in July, the Dancing With the Stars judge got a huge surprise from her bridesmaids in the form of a choreographed dance routine to Sia's "The Greatest," one of Julianne's favorites from her tour with brother Derek. Not only do the ladies, including friend Nina Dobrev, completely nail it on the dance floor, but we can't get over Julianne's reaction. At one point, she even excitedly moves along to the beat. Seriously, it's almost as cute as when Brooks saw her in her wedding dress for the first time.

This week, a handful of the nation’s biggest YouTube stars are slated to hit daytime TV in a major way.

Live with Kelly and Ryan, the popular syndicated morning talk show, will host a YouTube-filled week kicking off on Aug. 7, during which top creators will discuss upcoming projects and participate in YouTube-style challenges with Ryan Seacrest and his guest co-hosts in a bid to further educate viewers about social video culture.

"Live has always been a very real, unscripted, unplugged kind of show, and what these digital personalities do so well is a great fit with the Live sensibility," executive producer Michael Gelman told Tubefilter. "Also, we love a good competition, and they’re masters of creating entertaining challenges for each other, which should make for great TV."

For the special themed week, Live worked with Metro Public Relations, and many of the PR firm’s clients are scheduled to appear.
