When Rebekah Gregory was 10 years old, she made a promise to herself that she'd write a book by the age of 30. Little did she know what a story she'd have to tell. Gregory, 29, survived the Boston Marathon bombing of 2013 along with her son Noah, now 8, and then-boyfriend Pete Dimartino. The three were at the finish line, waiting for Dimartino's mom to cross, when the explosions happened. Months of physical therapy - not to mention emotional healing - followed for all three, and Gregory was ultimately fitted with a prosthetic leg. Since, she's weathered a dream wedding to and subsequent split from Dimartino,...

After 10 months of marriage, a couple injured in the Boston Marathon bombing and married in a "dream wedding" last April are separating. Rebekah Gregory, 27, and Pete Dimartino, 30, were standing near the finish line of the 2013 marathon watching his mom run the race when the two bombs went off. Gregory ultimately lost her left leg - after 17 surgeries, it was amputated in November - while Dimartino lost 90 percent of an Achilles tendon and suffered a ruptured eardrum. Today marks one year since the Boston Marathon bombing, and this year, the city is making special efforts to remember those lost in the tragedy. Families and friends of victims participated in a wreath-laying ceremony near the finish-line site on Tuesday, with flowers and handwritten messages lining the street. During the event, Vice President Joe Biden delivered a few remarks, closing with some powerful words: "We will never yield. We will never cower. America will never, ever, ever stand down. We are Boston. We are America. We respond, we endure, we overcome, and we own the finish line. God bless you all, and may God protect our troops." Visitors also gathered at the Boston Public Library to view the memorial exhibition Dear Boston: Messages From the Marathon Memorial, where flags, objects, and handwritten notes for the victims have been collected and put on display. Boston College students paid their respects over the weekend,...
