- Pekka Rinne is a Finnish professional hockey goaltender for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was a Vezina Trophy finalist as the NHL's top regular season goaltender in 2011, 2012 and 2015 before winning the award in 2018.
Rinne holds the record for the most NHL wins by a Finland-born goaltender. Rinne is one of only 12 NHL goaltenders to score a goal in either the regular season or the playoffs.
In 2014, Rinne was named to the All-Star Team and selected as the Most Valuable Player of the 2014 IIHF World Championship as Finland claimed the silver medal.
