You may have heard by now the sad news that actor Robin Williams, age 63, was found dead today. We'd like to take a moment to remember this iconic actor in our own way. The Batman way.
When Tim Burton brought Batman to the big screen in 1989 its said that Williams was being considered for the role of the Joker, before Jack Nicholson agreed to take the role. Michael Uslan had famously wanted Nicholson since he saw him back in the 1970s in films like 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'.
Later, when Batman Forever was brought to the big screen they were looking at Robin Williams as what many at the time thought as a shoe-in role for the Riddler. Of course we know that Burton and Keaton left the project and when Schumacher came in he was looking at a new, hipper talent for the role..Jim Carey.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, dear readers. By which we mean that today is Batman Day, the one 24-hour period in this whole year of celebrations where we honour the Caped Crusader, who celebrates his 75th anniversary in 2014. That’s pretty old for a guy to be running around in his underpants, wrestling clowns and the like. That’s old enough to know better. Whatever, the Dark Knight is still a total champ in our book, even if he does regularly endanger the lives of civilians, orphans and rubber sharks. To do all that and still flourish – seven decades after he was originally introduced! – means he must be doing something right.
So we thought, why not do right by Batman, too? What with this being his special day, and with us wanting to give thanks for Bruce Wayne and his 75 years of loyal service...

I must admit that I have a big ole soft spot for movies that take place in abandoned mental asylums, especially when they're actually shot inside real ones. Such is the case with Eloise, and we've got all the spooky details for ya today!
Per Deadline, Eliza Dushku, Chace Crawford, Brandon T. Jackson and Pj Byrne have all been cast in the Robert Legato-directed thriller, which begins shooting on May 5th.
Written by Chris Borrelli (The Vatican Tapes), the film is set in a defunct insane asylum known as “Eloise.” Four friends break into the abandoned institution in hopes of finding a death certificate, which will provide Jacob (Crawford) with the rights to a sizable inheritance. While inside the asylum, the group not only finds that the institution houses a horrifying history but also the truth about their own tragic pasts.

Previously on Teen Wolf, Dr. Deaton boogied on over to Japan to coerce a crime family into giving him some special fungus that subdues demon spirits inside of teenage boys. In Beacon Hills, everyone said, “The Nogitsune is a trickster!” a hundred thousand times while running willy-nilly through the woods and the school and the police station getting their asses tricked by Stiles. Everything exploded, everyone was shot, Chris and Derek bonded, and Deaton showed up juuuust in time to stab Stiles in the neck with some demon paralytic before he could eviscerate Scott with a katana.
Here’s what happens when a veterinarian jabs you with a syringe full of an ancient Japanese evil spirit poison: Your friends and family have three days to find a way to get the monster out of you or you’ll go on another chaotic rampage. So while everyone works to find a cure for him,...

17. American Horror Story (FX- tie)
With the climactic final four episodes of Asylum and the entertaining first nine of Coven, American Horror Story has had a diverse year, to say the least. Asylum wrapped up its exploration of health care, religion, and power and Coven dove in head-first with looks at gender roles, aging, and the complexities of mother-child relationships. No show on television takes on as many interesting topics as American Horror Story and while its more-is-more approach may not work for everyone, the energy and enthusiasm with which it raises and toys with these themes, often unexplored elsewhere, makes for entertaining, thought-provoking television. The repertory approach Ryan Murphy and co. use to cast the series gives viewers the opportunity to see completely different sides of many interesting performers and while Jessica Lange often gets the most praise for her excellent work on the series, it’s Lily Rabe...

"Doctor Who's" Christmas special is only hours away from airing, so there's no better time to take a look back at the holiday episodes that have come before. "The Time of the Doctor" is sure to earn a place high on this list as fans say goodbye to Matt Smith, but there are many other emotionally charged specials to reflect on as well.
Before tonight's premiere, here's our take on the past seven years of "Doctor Who" Christmas specials, ranked from best to worst:
'The End of Time'
This is a given. David Tennant's send-off was the perfect goodbye to his Doctor, and his final words -- "I don't want to go" -- still make fans emotional to this day. Add that to the fact that the two-parter took viewers to Gallifrey, and this is the best Christmas special yet.
