The trailer for Prime Video’s Wilderness asks how far is too far to go for revenge. The trailer then seems to answer that question with scenes of a wife imagining ways to kill her cheating husband.
Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) stars as Liv, the wife with murderous thoughts, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House) is her philandering husband, Will, in the six-episode drama premiering on September 15, 2023.
The cast of the thriller also includes Ashley Benson (Pretty Little Liars) as Cara, Eric Balfour (Six Feet Under) as Garth, Claire Rushbrook (Sherwood) as Caryl, Marsha Stephanie Blake (Orange is the New Black) as Detective Rawlins, and Morgana Van Peebles (Superstition) as Ash. Jonathan Keltz (Reign) plays Detective Wiseman, Talia Balsam (Divorce) is Bonnie, Crystal Balint (The Fall of the House of Usher) is Liana, Natalie Sharp (The Flash) plays Marissa, Geoff Gustafson (A Christmas Proposal) is Zach, and Jake Foy (Designated Survivor) is Anton.

For over 20 years, the Australian video artists Soda Jerk have been making work that samples film, music and other various forms of pop culture. Their films are kaleidoscopic and psychedelic, irreverent and constantly surprising. Their newest film, Hello Dankness, is no different. Set in a fictional suburbia populated by Tom Hanks, Annette Bening, Bruce Dern, and Wayne and Garth from Wayne’s World, Dankness is a response to–and a film about–the 2016 election and its aftermath. After all, an era of American history and politics that so ferociously shred away societal norms and imbued daily life with a lasting weirdness […]

The Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel often showcases strong women, and so many viewers were excited about this film, especially the visually impaired community.
She isn't pitied when Emily Main loses her eyesight in Guiding Emily. Instead, she's portrayed as a strong, capable female who can overcome this and become even more vital than she was before.
Sarah Drew as Emily was the film's highlight, but Eric McCormack voicing Garth's thoughts provided plenty of entertainment.
Guiding Emily is based on Barbara Hinske's best-selling novel by the same name. Scriptwriter Betsy Morris transformed that material into a subtle, emotional script where Emily realistically deals with her blindness.
It's not all gloom and doom, though, since Eric McCormack offers Garth's thoughts throughout on being a guide dog and his unrequited crush on Emily. From the second he sees her as a puppy, he's positive that he's her person.
I had just one question.

Barbara Hinske’s best-selling novel has been turned into a film on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries by the same name. Guiding Emily is a heartwarming film starring Sarah Drew as Emily, whose life changes drastically when she becomes permanently blind after an unfortunate rock-climbing accident.
At the same time, a potential guide dog, Garth (voiced by Eric McCormack), struggles with his training. Through a series of missed opportunities, Emily and Garth overcome their obstacles and end up together.
TV Fanatic chatted with Barbara about the inspiration behind Guiding Emily, her favorite film scenes, and whether there will be sequels. Check out the interview below.
Hello Barbara. What was the inspiration behind Guiding Emily?
I was touring the Foundation for Blind Children in Phenix, Arizona, which also services a large adult population, and I was so moved by what I saw and their work. Choking back tears, I asked the development director,...

Hello Dankness Review: A Tiresome Feature-Length Shitpost Remixing American Pop Culture and Politics
If the joy of art is that it can be interpreted in infinite ways over time, then is a project which “remixes” classic movie scenes by forcing them into the current political climate redundant in concept? Take Joe Dante’s The Burbs, one of the key films featured in art collective Soda Jerk’s recycled musical Hello Dankness, and which remains relevant because its combination of suburban malaise and paranoia continues to echo into our sharply divided political climate. Does lazily editing yard signs for Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump into characters’ front gardens really feel like a bold new addition to such an older work? Or does it just state the obvious as to how a modern audience might interpret the character archetypes it presented us with in the first place?

Sometimes, revenge is a dish best served cold, but for Jenna Coleman's Liv, it's a dish best served however she sees fit.
Prime Video on Tuesday debuted the full-length trailer for its psychological thriller Wilderness, and something tells us it's the perfect show for when the nights grow colder.
Premiering with all six episodes on September 15, 2023, Wilderness tells the story of a woman who learns about her husband's infidelity and the lengths she goes to to get revenge.
"Liv becomes the actress starring in Will's bad dreams after she learns about his betrayal, and her heartbreak is swiftly followed by another emotion: fury," a press release from Prime Video shared.
"The couple embark on an American road trip Liv's fantasized about since she was little, from the Grand Canyon on through Yosemite, before ending up with a hedonistic weekend in Las Vegas."
"For Will, it's a chance to make amends; for Liv,...
