Louis Tomlinson, a former One Direction member, announced on Twitter today he is parting ways with Simon Cowell’s Syco Music. Tomlinson has been with Syco Music since One Direction’s inception on The X Factor in 2011. Syco Music is a subsidiary of Syco Entertainment, a joint venture by Simon Cowell and Sony Music.
Tomlinson further detailed in the tweet that a new album is in the works. This would be Tomlinson’s second solo album effort after his debut album, Walls, which released earlier this year.

Country singer Randy Howard was killed in a shootout with a bounty hunter on Tuesday night. He was 65. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokesman Josh DeVine told the media in a statement that the bondsman, Jackie Shell, was serving Howard with a warrant for failing to appear in court for a fourth-offense DUI charge. Howard was also being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and driving on a revoked license. Shell, an A Plus Bail Bonding employee, entered Howard’s Tennessee home and was met with gunfire from Howard. Shell fired back, and killed the singer.

After the Ufc icon suffered a horrible, leg-bending injury on Dec. 28, stars and fans rushed to Twitter to express their shock over seeing such a gruesome incident, and also to send their prayers to the ailing fighter.
At almost the exact same time Anderson Silva hit the ground after breaking his leg during his Ufc title fight against Chris Weidman, stars, athletes, and fans took to Twitter to post their reactions. And because Anderson’s leg-bending break was the worst sports injury since Kevin Ware‘s bone-protruding injury in March, there were too many reactions of shock, horror, and sadness to count.

Though some celebrities were tweeting about the gruesome injury, most of the notable reactions came from fellow athletes — including Joe Theismann, who suffered a horrific leg break of his own in the ’80s – who wanted to wish Anderson a fast and safe recovery:

Box office on Friday sees music documentary One Direction: This is Us impressing TriStar's One Direction: This is Us documentary from Super Size Me director Morgan Spurlock is decimating the box office with a $8.9 million Friday. The film with Nial Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Dan Richards, Jon Shone, Sandy Beales and Josh Devine, could turn in close to $20 million come weekend estimates. In second, Lee Daniels' The Butler starring Forest Whitaker grossed $3.62 million to bring the Weinstein Co's release past $62.8 million. Look for a $8.5 million weekend take for the drama.
