The remainder of Kuala Lumpur’s Good Vibes music festival was canceled Saturday by the Malaysian government following comments made onstage by the 1975’s Matty Healy slamming the country’s anti-lgbtq+ laws.
Organizers said in a statement Saturday that following Healy’s “controversial conduct and remarks,” Malaysia’s Ministry of Communications and Digital issued an “immediate cancellation directive” that forced the three-day festival to shut down.
“The Ministry has underlined its unwavering stance against any parties that challenge, ridicule or contravene Malaysian laws,” organizers added.

The first day of Coachella was jam-packed with major artists making moves, while the second day seemed to revolve around pure pop. Sunday, day three, featured the weekend’s most eclectic lineup, with all kinds of genres represented on every stage. In the early afternoon, the Argentine rock band Los Fabulosos Cadillacs got people moshing, while GloRilla delivered hard-hitting bars just moments afterwards. Kali Uchis mesmerized the crowd with her luxe brand of R&b, and Björk transformed the festival into avant art in one of the most impressive and intricate performances of the evening.

Diplo and Jauz have teamed up on a new collaboration this week as they offer up a remix of MØ‘s “Final Song.” The release doesn’t come as a major surprise considering Diplo’s previous work with the Danish singer-songwriter on “Lean On” and “Cold Water,” but he and Jauz craft up a forward thinking rework of her single that’s well worth a listen.
Where the original version of “Final Song” ranks as a fairly downtempo outing, the two producers work up the energy with a faster paced rendition. You may be expecting a bass heavy outing considering the remixers involved, but they opt for a lighthearted tropical vibe complete with rolling bell melodies and driving rhythms. MØ’s distinct vocals are still the primary focus, as Jauz and Diplo infuse a fresh production behind her poppy hooks.

Now, it’s finally here and the results are nothing short of stunning.
Remixing Porter Robinson’s material is no small task, especially with an instant classic like “Shelter.” Unsurprisingly though, Mat Zo proves he’s up to the task as he offers up a unique rework. His remix opens with tropical tinged hand percussion loops, breezy guitar strums and pastoral synths. From there, the catchy vocal track from “Shelter” enters the mix and that’s where things really take off. In a new interview with Tommy West on SiriusXM, the two producers have announced that they won’t be releasing any more music together after “Shelter,” and intend to go their separate ways once the tour ends. Jauz is taking on Porter Robinson with a fresh drum and bass remix of his progressive house classic “Language.” Released in 2012, “Language” was a song that would go on to signal the impending shift towards the type of material heard on the ground breaking Worlds LP, and became an instant fan favorite. Jauz first previewed the remix back in September, and we’re stoked to finally hear the full version.
For his remix, Jauz trades in the four on the floor rhythms in favor of spastic breakbeats, bringing a new vibe to the pastoral original. The new rework opens innocently enough, with Robinson’s familiar chord progression serving as a stark introduction. Picking up the pace, Jauz juxtaposes the dreamy synth work against sped up drum patterns, bringing a liquid drum and bass vibe to the song.

However, the two musicians have now shared a new clip over the weekend that offers up an unprecedented glimpse into how the whole performance comes together.

It’s particularly interesting because while we’ve seen plenty of live rips of the Shelter show hit the internet already, this is the first time we’ve seen them play the show without the added background noise of an audience.

Anticipation for 2017’s major festivals is at an all time high, with Coachella‘s lineup serving as the holy grail of the entire season. We’ve already heard some rumors about the alleged headliners, while DJ Khaled inadvertently spilled the beans on his slot at the festival. Now we have another enticing update to ponder with a list that attempts to predict the entire lineup.
A website called TravelGrom has consistently made predictions about Coachella lineups in the past with a high degree of accuracy compared to the average rumor, and they’ve just offered up their projections for 2017. While the information is just conjecture at this point, TravelGrom predicted last year’s lineup with 64% accuracy. If that figure holds true again, over half of the list will wind up on the official lineup.
The alleged lineup includes a diverse array of styles, with representation from Edm, Rock, Rap, Pop and everything in between.

With the release of his 2014 album Worlds, Porter Robinson reshaped himself as one of dance music’s most forward thinking producers.
