Young Mazino played Paul Cho (the younger brother of Steven Yeun’s character Danny) in all ten episodes of the Netflix limited series Beef, and now Variety reports that he’s following that show up with a role in season 2 of the HBO series The Last of Us! Mazino’s character is Jesse, “a pillar of his community who puts everyone else’s needs before his own, sometimes at terrible cost.”

Beef was a certified hit when it landed on Netflix earlier this year, and now the show’s creator, Lee Sung Jin, is opening up about alternate endings and the potential for a second season. The black comedy-drama starred Ali Wong and Steven Yeun as Amy Lau and Danny Cho, two strangers who become embroiled in a dangerous and violent feud following a road rage incident. Netflix’s “Beef” Season 1 ended with arch-nemeses Danny and Amy snuggling together after spending more than a year gunning against each other with a vengeance in mind.
