A coalition of top creators has come together to ease audiences through the inevitable isolation and loneliness that are bound to arise as people settle into a new normal of social distancing and quarantine. And they’re harnessing Facebook's myriad tools to do so.
However, the Facebook group and Coronavirus support content is just one facet of a nascent startup courtesy of travel vlogger Louis Cole and the activist and entrepreneur Brandon Kaufer called The Social Good Club. Launching this year, the production company will see creators teaming with experts in various social impact areas to create content in order to promote a better, more sustainable world. Details are still scant, though you can check out the videos that the company has already produced on its dedicated Facebook page.
The Social Good Club comprises: Fly With Haifa, Jennelle Eliana, Kati Morton, Kandee Johnson, Mario Rigby, Amber's Closet, iJustine, Elle Mills,...

After debuting in June 2016, the longest-running original series in YouTube history has just put out a mysterious tease for its fourth season.
Vlogger Joey Graceffa’s lightly-scripted murder mystery series Escape The Night -- which brings together a slew of top YouTube creators, who portray different characters and attempting to stay alive by solving various challenges and puzzles -- will return on July 11.
Graceffa serves as both creator and star of the show, and past seasons have featured the likes of Safiya Nygaard, Jesse Wellens, and Manny Mua. The teaser for season four that Graceffa shared today -- alongside a caption that reads ‘Be careful what you wish for’ -- sees the bespectacled star walking in the dark with a torch in hand, whereupon he suddenly throws an object at the camera (though it’s unclear what).

All these years, Jeana Smith has been harboring a rather innocuous secret.
And the beloved YouTube star, who was something of a pioneer in the couple pranking space -- and who headlined two massive channels with her now-ex-boyfriend Jesse Wellens -- is revealing her true identity in a new video that will also mark a new beginning of sorts. At the outset of her YouTube career, the 35-year-old decided to vlog under the pseudonym Jeana, despite the fact that her real name is Jennifer -- or, as she commonly goes by, Jen -- she revealed today in a confessional vlog titled.
When Smith and Wellens launched their prank and daily vlog channels in 2009 -- dubbed PrankVsPrank and BFvsGf, respectively -- Smith says that she was getting a college degree to become a teacher. Given the rather controversial nature of the content she and Wellens were posting, she says professors who...

Every Halloween, YouTube vet Jesse Wellens has a blockbuster trick up his sleeve -- typically helmed in collaboration with fellow vlogger Casey Neistat.
Last year, for instance, the duo designed real-life versions of the speeder bikes from Star Wars and recreated a chase scene from Return Of The Jedi in the streets of New York City. In 2016, Wellens dressed up as the Silver Surfer with the help of some seriously impressive special effects makeup, and, in 2015, Wellens and Neistat fabricated an Aladdin-style flying carpet.
This year, however, Wellens is going at it solo without Neistat -- though he’s sticking with the theme of harnessing special effects to cruise across city streets, stopping pedestrians in their tracks. In a video posted yesterday, titled Real Halloween Hoverboard Costume and featuring cameos from Steve-o and fellow vlogger Adande 'Swoozie' Thorne, Wellens at first appears to be zooming across the streets of Venice...

PrankvsPrank’s Jeana Smith And Jesse Wellens Reunite For First Time In Years To Fight Ovarian Cancer
Jeana Smith and Jesse Wellens, the founders of PrankvsPrank -- one of YouTube’s foremost couple prank channels -- may have announced their high-profile split in 2016, stating that the grind of a daily vlog had put a toxic strain on their relationship. But over the weekend, the digital vets reunited for the first time in years -- all for an admirable cause.
Smith and Wellens participated in Saturday’s Ovarian Cancer Walk in Philadelphia -- an annual event hosted by the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure for the disease -- as well as to improve the lives for those who are fighting it. The cause hits particularly close to home for Smith, whose mother passed away from ovarian cancer in 1999 -- and thus, the couple have been participating in the event for years.
This year, they have raised more than $2,600 for the cause.

YouTube stars led by a Santa costumed Casey Neistat turned an abandoned mall in Milwaukee into a “winter wonderland” for the area’s Boys and Girls Clubs this holiday season.
In a partnership with Samsung and the Milwaukee area Boys and Girls Clubs, creators like Akilah Hughes, Ann Lupo, Shaun McBride, Jesse Wellens, and Will Haynes (you can find the full list here) taught members of the Boys and Girls Clubs to vlog after giving them gifts of cameras and gear provided by Samsung. After giving out the gifts, the creators led the kids to the abandoned mall, which Neistat and company had spent a month transforming into an idyllic winter scene.
Complete with snowboarders, an ice skating rink, and plenty of candy, the mall scene provided a backdrop for Boys and Girls Club members eager to video the experience on their new Galaxy Note 8s. The full video, Neistat noted,...

The annual Halloween partnership between Casey Neistat and Jesse Wellens has become must-see entertainment, and their latest work does not disappoint. For their 2017 costumes, they designed real-life versions of the speeder bikes from Star Wars and recreated the Endor chase scene from Return of the Jedi in Manhattan.
After fabricating an Aladdin-style flying carpet in 2015 and remaking the Silver Surfer's board last year, Wellens and Neistat decided to celebrate Halloween 2017 by zipping through New York City on their sci-fi cruisers. The actual video of the chase (as well as Wellens and Neistat's eventual encounter with the police) can be seen on Wellens' channel. If that clip leaves you hungry for more real-life Star Wars action, you can head over to Neistat's channel, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the construction of the speeders. Both videos hit YouTube's trending tab shortly after they were uploaded to the video site.

YouTube vloggers Jesse Wellens and Carmella Rose have made one of this year’s most impressive Halloween outfits, dressing up as Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa and riding through New York on a “Star Wars” speeder bike that looks like it’s actually floating. “Star Wars” fans all fondly remember the famous speeder bike chase on Endor in “Return of the Jedi,” in which Luke and Leia evade Scout Troopers in a thrilling chase through the forest. Wellens and Rose replicated the scene with the help of Lithium Cycles, who built a custom motorcycle that resembled the speeder bike and had mirrors covering.

Let's face it: Some people are just better at coming up with Halloween costumes than the rest of us and this custom made Star Wars speeder from Return of the Jedi is one of the best fan made creations ever. Not only is the timing perfect for Halloween, it's also perfect timing to capitalize on the hype surrounding the upcoming release of The Last Jedi. The couple behind the creation have said that they are trying to win Halloween and it looks like they've done it.

President Donald Trump took to Twitter this morning to slam rapper Snoop Dogg for his latest music video, which was directed by YouTube luminary Jesse Wellens and sees the veteran rapper shooting a Trump-like character in the head with a prank gun.
The concept for the video for Snoop's new single, Lavender (Nightfall Remix), was reportedly hatched in the wake of the shooting of Philando Castile and serves as a commentary on police brutality. Additionally, the majority of the characters in the video are painted like clowns -- including a character named Ronald Krump, who bears a striking resemblance to the President -- which Wellens has said was meant to reflect America’s “ridiculous” political climate.

Last May, Jesse Wellens and Jeana Smith, the couple behind one of YouTube’s biggest prank channels, PrankVsPrank, announced their separation, as well as a cessation of their daily vlogs in order to pursue larger-scale projects.
And today, Wellens, 34 -- who signed with Beverly Hills talent agency Wme late last year -- has dropped something of a whopper: a music video for legendary rapper Snoop Dogg’s latest single, BadBadNotGood. The politically-charged clip, which also stars acclaimed actor and podcast host Michael Rapaport, marks the first project from Wellens’ just-formed production company, Rose Ave., which it says has other music videos, TV shows, and feature films in the works.

Snoop Dogg doesn’t hold back from airing his thoughts on President Trump in his new music video for the track, “Lavender.” In it, directors Jesse Wellens and James DeFina depict an America where everyone’s a clown, including president “Ronald Klump.” The video bluntly satirizes current events, with President Klump at one point holding a press conference to announce the deportation of all dogs. That doesn’t go over so well with Snoop Dogg, who chains up the Clown-in-Chief and shoots him with a toy gun. Following the announcement that he would abandon daily vlogging after roughly 600 consecutive days, YouTube veteran Casey Neistat has been pursuing larger-scale projects, including a holiday film that he’s been teasing on his channel for several weeks. Now, the film -- which was sponsored by Samsung and co-created by fellow YouTube star Jesse Wellens -- is here.
Titled Human Flying Drone, the video is set in the snowy mountains of Finland, where a custom-built ‘copter not only tows Neistat -- who’s donning a Santa Claus costume -- along the slopes on his snowboard but ultimately lifts him into the air in several awe-inspiring instances. As the video was sponsored by Samsung, a 360-degree version of the clip shot entirely with Samsung Gear 360 Cameras will also reportedly be available.

Jesse Wellens has recently moved beyond prank videos, and as he continues to build his personal brand, he has signed with a major talent agency. Wellens is the latest digital creator to sign with Wme, headquartered in Beverly Hills.
Wellens first gained prominence on YouTube thanks to his PrankVsPrank channel, on which he and his then-girlfriend Jeana constantly one-upped each other with increasingly elaborate practical jokes. The couple separated earlier in 2016, but Wellens has continued to release regular videos to serve PrankVsPrank’s 10 million subscribers. His latest videos have both featured pranks and ventured beyond them; among other projects, he recently shot a film based on his experience at Burning Man, directed a Halloween-themed collaboration video called ‘Room 301,’ and starred in a YouTube Red series called Prank Academy. Some of his newer videos have featured Jeana as well.
Thanks to his partnership with Wme, Wellens will gain support as he continues to explore new formats.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has made a lot of friends in the online video community since launching his official YouTube channel earlier this year. Now, he has invited some of those friends to join him for a haunted seance spectacular. He is the primary star of YouTube’s Room 301 series, which includes several videos shot on the site’s Halloween-themed sets.
The introductory video in the Room 301 was directed by Jesse Wellens of PrankVsPrank fame. A few creators at a time, Wellens’ colleagues in the YouTube community file into a spooky hotel, where a ghostly Rock awaits them. The video, shot in 360 degrees, is best watched through a virtual reality device like Google’s new Daydream headset, but it is available to all viewers through Wellens’ DownRangeGaming channel.

Lance Stewart's vlogs can sometimes be a bit rough around the edges, but that's the way he likes it, and his fans seem to enjoy his style, too. Stewart's videos, which discuss his life and his relationships with his friends, family, and girlfriend, have propelled him -- with some help from "clickbait" titles and the occasional misleading thumbnail -- above one million subscribers. Stewart's latest headline-grabbing move came in late August, when he accidentally sliced off a piece of his finger while attempting to shoot a real-life Fruit Ninja video. As he continues to document his recuperation from that injury, he talked to us about his digital presence.
Tubefilter: How does it feel to have one million subscribers? What do you have to say to your fans?

The videos born out of the new initiative will be shot on a haunted hotel set referred to as “room 301.” Versions of the set will be available at the YouTube Spaces in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Berlin, and Tokyo, and additional creators who frequent the hubs in Paris and Sao Paulo will be flown to Los Angeles in order to cook up their own scares. On the show, the 10 contestants -- including VitalyzdTV, FouseyTUBE, Tré Melvin, and Brittani Louise Taylor -- must fight their way through an abandoned hospital overrun by zombies. Throughout the course of 72 hours, they must also complete various challenges.
The series is available on BlackBoxTV’s YouTube channel. If YouTube has given rise to a new breed of celebrity in which the line between content creation and reality tends to blur, over time, that dynamic can become a toxic strain on real-life relationships.
After establishing one of YouTube’s most beloved prank channels in 2009, PrankvsPrank co-creators and longtime couple Jeana Smith and Jesse Wellens -- who also operate an immensely popular daily vlogging channel called BFvsGF -- have announced that they are taking a break.
In what they call one of the hardest videos they’ve ever had to film, the couple say that although vlogging might've made it appear like their lives were perfect, they've had issues for quite some time. “When it gets to a point where it starts to feel like a job, and you’re not doing things because you love the person, you’re doing them for a vlog, that puts a huge burden on the relationship,...

This April Fools’ Day, YouTube became ground zero for a handful of high-profile projects within the explosively popular prank video genre.
On the debut episode of their YouTube Red series, Prank Academy, Jeana Smith and Jesse Wellens tricked vlogger Joey Graceffa into thinking he’d ignited a crew member of a cooking show spectacularly into flames.
Two days later, Roman Atwood, Dennis Roady, and Vitaly Zdorovetskiy released Natural Born Pranksters -- a feature film in which the trio pull off feats far more diabolical than their typical YouTube fare -- like tricking a father-to-be into thinking his wife has given birth to the mailman’s baby. The movie catapulted to the No. 1 spot on the iTunes comedy charts, and the No. 2 movie overall during the weekend of its release -- second only to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Jeana Smith and Jesse Wellens, the YouTube couple known as PrankvsPrank, announced an original series for YouTube Red last April.
And today, the couple -- who have amassed more than 19 million subscribers across three channels thanks to their uproariously ruthless pranks orchestrated against one another -- unveiled the trailer for Prank Academy. In the forthcoming series, they will go from pranksters to mentors, “teaching [celebrity guests] how to pull off their most ambitious and complicated pranks yet,” according to a press release.
The show, which will feature cameos from YouTube stars Louis Cole, Justine Ezarik, Joey Graceffa, Lilly Singh, Charles Trippy and more, looks a little like the couple's YouTube videos on steroids. In one scene, Singh picks a WWE-style fight in a restaurant as fellow diners look on in horror. In another, Ezarik and Graceffa recoil on the set of a cooking show as a crew members’ clothes bursts into flames.

Having "Star Wars" actor Mark Hamill join the cast of "The Flash" for this week's episode was a thrill for the cast.
"That was really surreal," Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash) told Access Hollywood recently about having Hamill come on the show as the incarcerated Trickster.
In this Tuesday's episode, Hamill lays James Jesse, aka The Trickster, who is prison (coincidentally the same one housing Barry's dad, Henry Allen). A copycat, who uses James' old moniker, causes trouble in Central City, prompting Barry and Det. Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) to go to Hamill's character for help.
