7-time award-winning Filmmaker & founder of production company RMC Pictures, Raeshelle writes about the many misadventures of love, with music and spoken word often leading the narratives. Now based in New Orleans, Louisiana!
Raeshelle also writes social commentary on the current state of the country and human nature in general; she likes to point out their hypocrisies in those genres. Raeshelle particularly likes to put women of color on the big screen and tell their stories.
Raeshelle's won 7 film awards, including one from the LA Film Awards in 2016, and the Woman in Film award, Best Director, and Best Short Film from the Shawna Shea Film Festival in 2019 and 2021, respectively. Also, Raeshelle's film Mt. Washington screened at the Reel to Real Film Promotion featuring Omari Hardwick in NY in 2018.
Her last film "Woke" [2020] is a 3-time award winning science-fiction short, and a new and original take on interracial relationships, set in the year 3000 and using sci-fi elements and more twist endings. "Woke" [2020] won Best Thriller in the screenplay awards at the Action On Film International Film Festival in 2021, and won Best Director and Best Short at the Shawna Shea Film Festival in 2021; it was also recognized for "Meritorious Appreciation" at the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival in 2021. Raeshelle has screened her films all across the country from Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, all over New England, and even internationally in Berlin and Switzerland.
