After the runaway success of Netflix and Tim Burton’s Addams Family stand-alone series Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega, the streamer renewed it for second season in January 2023. That decision came less than three months after the eight-episode Season 1 premiered, eventually becoming the most-watched original series ever on the streamer ever with more than 252 million views to date, far surpassing Stranger Things‘ Season 4, Dahmer and Season 1 of Bridgerton on the all-time list.
Season 1 ending up scoring 12 Emmy nominations, including for Ortega in Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, becoming just the third Latina to ever be nominated in a leading actress category. The series won four Emmys, though Ortega lost out to Abbott Elementary‘s Quinta Brunson on Emmy night.

The upcoming MCU project, ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ is stirring up a lot of buzz. Fans are eagerly anticipating it, but its production has faced its share of challenges, including strikes and clashes over creative direction between the showrunners and the studio.
Details about the plot are sparse, but we know that Daredevil will be embarking on a new journey, setting up a law practice while trying to redefine himself. Meanwhile, Kingpin, one of his archenemies, is vying for the position of mayor in New York, a plot point teased in the post-credits scenes of ‘Echo.’
Vincent D’Onofrio will be returning, but he might not be the main antagonist this time around. Rumors suggest that Muse, a villain from Marvel Comics—a twisted serial killer who turns his victims into gruesome art—will take on that role. ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is one of the most talked-about upcoming MCU projects, partly due to the fan-fueled hype and partly due to its turbulent production that’s been plagued with everything from SAG-AFTRA strike to creative differences in what the showrunners wanted and what the studio wanted.
Not much is known about the overall plot except for the fact that Daredevil will be starting a new law practice as he is trying to re-invent himself, with Kingpin, one of his greatest enemies running for mayor of New York, something that was foreshadowed in the post-credits scenes of ‘Echo.’
While it is certain that D’Onforio will make a return, he seemingly won’t be the primary villain of the show’s first season as it’s been heavily rumored for at least a couple of months that this honor will go to Muse. Muse is a villain in Marvel Comics...

While Netflix awaits Season 2 of its breakout hit “Wednesday,” the latest adaptation of the “Addams Family” franchise, it is already eyeing a way to expand that universe. Variety has confirmed that Netflix and producer MGM Television are indeed aiming to spin off “Wednesday” to focus on Uncle Fester.
Armisen’s casting was a surprise when it was first revealed in October 2022 during a trailer teaser drop. He joined the Addams family that also included star Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), as well as Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams.
Armisen first rose to prominence via his sketch comedy roles in “Saturday Night Live” and “Portlandia”; in recent years his TV appearances have included “Barry,” “History of the World, Part II,” “Unstable,” “What We Do in the Shadows,” “The Kids in the Hall,” “Our Flag Means Death,” “Schmigadoon,” “Moonbase 8” and “Shrull.

When the writers strike ended near the start of October, we heard that the top priorities at the Netflix streaming service were to get the scripts for Stranger Things season 5 (the final season of that show) and Wednesday season 2 finished. Stranger Things season 5 is expected to go into production any day now, and Deadline reports that Wednesday season 2 is expected to start filming in late April. When this season goes into production, the cast and crew will be reporting to set in an entirely different country than they worked in during the first season. While season 1 was filmed in Romania, season 2 is moving to Ireland.
The Wednesday sets standing in Romania have become a major tourist attraction, but according to Deadline the decision to film the second season in a different country stems from “logistical challenges” the crew ran into while working in Romania.

There was plenty of excitement when Wednesday burst onto screens in November 2022.
With Jenna Ortega in the titular role, the series reached plenty of success.
It's rare for a series to break through this way, but the series dominated the social media conversation months after its premiere.

The Addams Family is one of the most famous American families, regardless of whether they are real or fictional. Originally created by American cartoonist Charles Addams for a comic strip on The New Yorker, the Addams are a satirical inversion of the idea of a middle-class American family in the post-war years, one that inadvertently became an introduction to goth culture for generations of kids. Though there have been many different iterations of "The Addams Family," the core cast of characters has remained rather static for over 80 years. Sure, a character or two have been introduced since then, like Cousin Itt in the '60s TV show and Thing in a '50s story, but for the most part, it's the same family all the time.
This means Netflix's surprise dance hit "Wednesday" doesn't have many options to choose from if they're to bring in other members of the family in season two.

It will be a minute before season 2 of “Wednesday” will be ready to be devoured by fans. But Jenna Ortega and her co-stars offered an early tease of what’s — or rather, who’s — to come in the Netflix series, which follows the titular (anti-)heroine as she enrolls in Nevermore Academy, a school for troubled outcasts, and investigates a murder mystery.

When the writers room for season 2 of Netflix’s hit Addams Family series Wednesday opened a few months ago, star Jenna Ortega – who will also be receiving a producing credit on the new season – told Jimmy Fallon that they were thinking of boosting the horror aspect of the show and getting Wednesday “out of the romantic situation”.
