Teen aerialist Aidan Bryant is already a winner thanks to “AGT: All-Stars,” which aired in the winter of 2023. Now he’s back to defend his title in “America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League,” where he’s a member of the fourth group of contestants that will take the stage on January 22 on NBC. In a Gold Derby exclusive video (watch above), judge Simon Cowell calls the Virginia teenager “pretty special” as he watches him fly through the air with ease.
Aidan performs his latest routine to the popular track “California Dreamin’.” His mentor, Heidi Klum, watches in awe as he dances through the air in front of an enormous tree with falling leaves. Heidi, Simon, Howie Mandel and Mel B give him a standing ovation at the end of clip, but you have to tune in Monday night to hear their individual comments.

“America’s Got Talent” viewers were shocked on Wednesday night when dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane was crowned as the $1 million winner. Fun fact: they are now the third act to prevail on “AGT” that did not receive a Golden Buzzer since its inception, following Shin Lim (Season 13) and Dustin Tavella (Season 16). In Gold Derby’s post-finale poll, we asked fans to vote for who Really deserved to win Season 18, and Adrian & Hurricane came in third place with 16% of the vote. The top spot went to singer Putri Ariani at 26%, followed by synchronized dancers Murmuration at 21%.
Putri is Simon Cowell‘s Golden Buzzer singer who went viral each week with her pitch-perfect voice and out-of-the-box song choices (including those by U2 and Elton John). The 17-year-old Indonesian artist was born blind, but she doesn’t let that stop her from realizing her dream of becoming a worldwide recording artist. Putri ultimately finished in fourth place,...

To date, eight of the 11 finalists have been named for the “America’s Got Talent” Season 18 finale, and five of them are Golden Buzzers: dance groups Murmuration and Chibi Unity, plus singing acts Putri Ariani, Lavender Darcangelo and Mzansi Youth Choir. There is still one week left to go in the Qualifiers round, and Gold Derby readers predict one additional such act will advance to the finale: singer Gabriel Henrique.
That would mean roughly half of the 2023 finalists received a confetti shower in their auditions. However, that doesn’t necessarily give them an advantage over the non-Golden Buzzer acts still in the competition: dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane, comedian Ahren Belisle and magician Anna DeGuzman. In fact, you don’t have to look back too far throughout “AGT” history to find an example of such an act going on to win the show.

Heidi Klum‘s fan-fave Golden Buzzer, Lavender Darcangelo, blew the roof off “America’s Got Talent” with her performance of “I Want to Know What Love Is” during the reality TV show’s first live show on Tuesday, August 22. One of the most talked-about acts to come out of this year’s “America’s Got Talent” auditions is Putri Ariani, thanks in no small part to Simon Cowell blessing her with his Season 18 Golden Buzzer. All these months later, Simon is reflecting on the 17-year-old blind singer/songwriter’s audition at the piano and he’s expecting big things for her in this competition. “I would be amazed if she’s not either the winner or the runner-up. I mean, that’s who I put my money on,” he reveals in the NBC video above.
Putri came all the way from Indonesia to show the world her talent, and she performed two songs on the big stage: “Loneliness” and “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word.” “There was something about her, even before she started to sing,” Simon now declares. “I just — I had a feeling. And I’ve done this a long time.

Heading into Monday’s season finale of “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars,” you would have been gravely mistaken if you thought Kodi Lee had this thing in the bag. In fact, the “AGT” superfans who voted for the winner didn’t even rank the fan-favorite singer, who was born blind and autistic, in their Top 5. When host Terry Crews announced the results during the February 27 finale, it was as if the air was let out of the room. The audience gasped in shock while judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel kindly stood up and applauded his exit.
In case you missed the episode, the Top 5 acts, according to the superfans, were aerialist Aidan Bryant (the winner), saxophonist Avery Dixon (the runner-up), light-up dance group Light Balance Kids (third place) ventriloquist Ana-Maria Mǎrgean (fourth place) and magician Aidan McCann (fifth place).

Are you as surprised as we are that aerialist Aidan Bryant was chosen as the first “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars” winner on Monday night. When we surveyed viewers before the finale on Feb. 27, they overwhelmingly wanted Kodi Lee to win the first season of this “AGT” spin-off. This inspirational singer, who won the season 14 title, had wowed everyone with his soaring performance of “Biblical” on the final preliminary show.
Lee was one of the four previous “America’s Got Talent” champs to compete on this all-star edition of the NBC programming staple. Among the others was magician Dustin Tavella, who bested Bryant last season on “AGT.” They both competed in the second preliminary round episode, which aired last month.

One of the most popular “America’s Got Talent” winners of all time, Kodi Lee, now has a chance of taking home a second trophy, and it’s all thanks to the superfans. And just like that, Aidan Bryant is headed to his second consecutive “America’s Got Talent” finale. During the January 9 episode of “AGT: All-Stars,” the 18-year-old aerialist earned enough votes from the superfans to advance to the Finals, beating out, among others, magician Dustin Tavella, who previously beat Aidan during the Season 16 finale. The only other “All-Star” act from this week to advance to the Finals was Detroit Youth Choir, who earned Terry Crews‘ Golden Buzzer.
When host Terry Crews announced the results of the superfan vote, it was Aidan that finished at the top of the leaderboard. The Top 3 was rounded out by beatboxer & flautist Divyansh & Manuraj in second place and ballerina Vitoria Bueno in third place. Shockingly, Dustin didn’t hear his name called at all, which meant he placed between fourth and ninth in the superfan vote.

Over the first two weeks of “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars,” the superfans had the option of voting for people who’d already won various “Got Talent” shows around the world, or branching out and anointing other talented acts. So far, they’ve chosen to snub former winners. Champions like Terry Fator (“AGT” Season 2) and Dustin Tavella (“AGT” Season 16) failed to earn enough votes from the superans to advance to the Finals, so they were eliminated from the competition (barring any future wild card save). What does this mean for upcoming fan-fave contestants like Kodi Lee and Brandon Leake, who won their original “AGT” seasons?
In Week 1 (which aired January 2), the two winners competing were singer Jeanick Fournier from “Canada’s Got Talent” Season 2 and ventriloquist Terry Fator from “America’s Got Talent” Season 2. After light-up dance group Light Balance Kids earned Howie Mandel‘s Golden Buzzer, the superfans voted for their Top 3 acts of the night.

Episode 2 of “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars” airs Monday, January 9 on NBC, with the second set of 10 acts (out of 60 total acts) taking the stage in front of judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum and host Terry Crews. Remember, only two of these 10 contestants will advance to the Finals: one via the Golden Buzzer and one thanks to the “AGT” superfans, whose votes are revealed at the end of the episode. That means the other eight artists will sadly be cut from the competition.

Terry Fator is one of the most successful winners ever of “America’s Got Talent” turning his season 2 victory back in 2007 into a long-running gig in Las Vegas. That’s what makes his ouster on Monday’s premiere of “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars” so shocking.
After Howie Mandel used up his Golden Buzzer on Light Balance Kids (a top 10 act from season 14), Terry needed to win over the superfans to move on in the competition. But they opted for balancing act Bello Sisters (a top 10 act from season 15) instead.
What went wrong for Terry? Take a look at his performance in the video above and sound off in the comments section below. As we observed in our live blog of “AGT: All-Stars” episode 1, Simon Cowell told Terry that he’s inspired more variety acts to compete than anyone else and dubbed him “the best of the best.”

Simon Cowell made a bold confession during the premiere episode of “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars” when he tells superstar ventriloquist Terry Fator that the reality TV show only happened because he signed on. “I’m gonna let you in to a little secret,” the British judge explains. “When we decided to make ‘All-Stars,’ we had one condition: We’re only gonna do it if you competed. Seriously. Because we just thought, if you’re gonna say we’ve got the best of the best, then you’ve gotta get the best of the best. And I have so much respect for you and so much gratitude.”

Three of the four judges on “America’s Got Talent” laughed their lederhosen off during the June 28 episode when German magician-comedians Siegfried and Joy took the stage. The lone holdout? Why, it was Simon Cowell, of course. The British judge got booed by the studio audience when he called the fake magicians “a bit stupid” and refused to vote them through to the next round. But he was outvoted by the trio of Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara, who all said “yes” and advanced Siegfried and Joy to the Judge Cuts.

“America’s Got Talent” named a champion last night, when NBC was the night’s big winner. Also on Wednesday, “MasterChef” crowned its top cook, placing Fox second in ratings (but third in terms of total viewers). Neither of those shows topped primetime in ratings among adults 18-49, however. That podium belonged to 8 o’clock CBS competition series “Big Brother” — though “America’s Got Talent” was easily the most-watched primetime show overall. Unfortunately for CBS, everything else the network aired in primetime was pretty weak. Magician Dustin Tavella won Season 16 of “America’s Got Talent.” Kelsey Murphy won Season 11 of “MasterChef.” NBC was first in ratings with a 0.6 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 4.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Family Game Fight!” at 8 had a 0.4 rating and 2.3 million total viewers. The two-hour “America’s Got Talent” finale followed with a 0.7 rating and 6.1 million total viewers. Fox...

It was a spellbinding night for Dustin Tavella as the magician was crowned the America’s Got Talent Season 16 winner during the live, two-hour season finale on Wednesday, September 15. In what host Terry Crews described as “the closest vote ever,” Tavella beat out the nine other finalists and earned himself the $1 million prize and the headline spot for an AGT show in Las Vegas. Tavella has become the third magician to win the NBC competition show following Season 9 winner Mat Franco and Season 13 champion Shin Lim. “Thank you guys so much. This is absolutely amazing,” said an emotional Tavella, whose magic centered on his two adoptive sons. “Before AGT, I just never could’ve imagined my two worlds colliding – My passion for my magic and my story about my family.” Before America voted for the winner, all 10 finalists performed in front of judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara.
