Tarek Ghawji
- Actor
Tarek was raised in a very complicated family dynamic with his father
being Muslim and mother Catholic. His parents divorced in 2004 which
was hard on him, driving him to seek some sense of self, and right and
wrong on his own. He studied at Germantown Middle School then went on
to study at Christian Brother's High School in Memphis, Tennessee.
He went on to attend The University of Memphis seeking a
degree in International Business. Since childhood, however, Tarek has had a passion
for acting, though it was not something he seriously considered until
2011 when the death of a close friend pushed him to pursue his dreams
(It is believed to have been an epiphany of sorts of how fleeting life
can truly be). Through a friend, Tarek got a small part in the feature
film "Lights, Camera, Bullshit" (2013) where he realized that his dream
was true and that it was exactly what he wanted to do for the rest of
his life. He then received another small role in "Nature of the Beast"
(2013).
