There are a few lines of thought surrounding the ongoing Drake v. the World rap feud that have become accepted as all but sacred facts. For one, all of this is supposedly fun. Spotify, the multi-billion-dollar business that reported a quarterly profit last week — in part, thanks to laying off 17 percent of its staff ahead of the holidays last year— rented out billboards in Times Square declaring that rap is a “competitive sport.” This was presumably their comment on the months-long saga that began with the release of Future and...

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s Latest Trailer Looks to Have Refined the Most Pleasing Move in the Game
It’s an amazing time to be a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi fan, as Bandai Namco has unleashed another exhilarating trailer for the next installment. With a theme called Master and Apprentice for the footage, there’s a lot to unpack, ranging from more characters confirmed to be joining the roster to stages that look like they’ve been taken straight out of the anime.
But there’s one gameplay mechanic that also gets featured in Sparking Zero‘s latest trailer that Budokai Tenkaichi 3 players will recognize, as it’s making a comeback in its most refined state.
One of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3’s Signature Moves Returns
Gohan brings back Sonic Sway from Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

On the night of April 13, after the apparent leak of his diss track “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me Fifty),” Drake posted a screenshot from the movie Kill Bill on his Instagram Story. It was the film’s iconic fight scene, during which Uma Thurman’s character takes on a room full of ninja assassins only to emerge victorious. The metaphor couldn’t be more applicable to Drake’s current situation, as he fends off what many are describing as “Rap’s Avengers,” out for blood since the release of Future...

Kendrick Lamar has hit back at Drake with “euphoria,” his response to the latter rapper’s recent diss tracks “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.” Stream it below.
Broken up into three parts, “euphoria” begins with a laidback beat in which a relaxed Kendrick calls out Drake for being fake and “a scam artist with the hopes of being accepted.”
“The famous actor we once knew is lookin’ paranoid, now it’s spiraling,” Kendrick scoffs, before accusing Drake of being a liar on multiple levels. “Fabricate stories on the family front, ’cause you heard Mr. Morale/ A pathetic master manipulator, I can smell the tales on you now/ You not a rap artist, you a scam artist with the hopes of being accepted.”
Pointedly, he continues, “Know you a master manipulator, and a bitch, you a liar too/ But don’t tell no lie ’bout me, and I won’t tell truths ’bout you.

Tems is officially back with a new song, “Love Me Jeje,” which marks the first single from her eagerly-anticipated debut album, Born in the Wild, out next month.
“Jeje” means “softly” or “gentle” in Nigerian, and Tems leans into that feeling with tender lyrics and a guitar-flecked groove: “If not you, then I don’t wanna know, I don’t want no story/Day and night, it’s unconditional, got mе living softly/Love me JeJe, love me tender,” Tems sings.

As Anthony D’Amato preps backstage at Sony Hall in midtown Manhattan, it’s hard not to notice his six-foot height, horn-rimmed glasses — and the name “Amy” in large black letters on the side of his head. Drake, forever thirsty for attention, is continuing to bait Kendrick Lamar. After releasing “Push Ups” on DSPs on Friday, the Toronto rapper has dropped a second diss track. This one, titled “Taylor Made Freestyle,” includes AI verses made to sound like Tupac and Snoop Dogg.
“Kendrick, we need ya, the West Coast savior/ Engraving your name in some hip-hop history,” AI Tupac raps. “If you deal with this viciously/ You seem a little nervous about all the publicity/ Fuck this Canadian lightskin.”
“I know you never been to jail, or wore jumpsuits and shower shoes/Never shot nobody, never stabbed nobody/Never did nothing violent to no one, it’s the homies that empower you,” adds AI Snoop. “But, still, you gotta show this fucking owl who’s boss on the West/Now’s a time to really make a power move.”

For years now, Future has been skilled at playing rap’s favorite romantic anti-hero: the man, or character, baptizing himself in purple drinks to forget about bliss that has slipped away. Some of his best songs, like “Throw Away” or “My Collection,” can be both spiteful and vulnerable, like a dog dying of a virus that it can’t understand. It’s why certain men pore over his albums like they’re David Foster Wallace novels. At any given moment, a lyric or a snark will seem to effortlessly crystalize...

The past few weeks have been great for music. With new releases from Ariana Grande, Beyoncé and more, the charts truly feel like they are alive again. Among these big releases, one of the most buzzed about has been the alliance between hip-hop superstar producer Metro Boomin and veteran rapper Future on their album “We Don’t Trust You.” It has been a huge success, debuting atop the Billboard 200 with over 250,000 equivalent album units and multiple songs in the top 10 of that week’s Billboard Hot 100, most notably the single “Like That” with Kendrick Lamar at number-one. Future and Metro’s success might translate to some Grammy prizes in 2025 too.

When Atlanta trap maven Future first linked up with producer Metro Boomin a decade ago, Metro’s inventive, textured beats offered the Mc an avenue to explore darker, more adventurous sounds. On We Don’t Trust You, though, Future seems content to be set dressing for Metro’s elaborate production. At one point on their first collaborative album, he raps, “I’m over this shit 1000%,” and you believe him. With few exceptions, Future sounds like he’s going through the motions.
Recounting the hedonistic pleasures of wealth in a hollowed, tortured way used to be just one move in Future’s arsenal, but now it’s seemingly his whole shtick. Metro’s work is sometimes enough to carry a track like “Everyday Hustle,” which molds a pitched-up soul sample to both Future’s clipped delivery and the track’s percussion, reminiscent of J Dilla. We Don’t Trust You, the new album from Future and Metro Boomin, is here (the first half anyway), and listeners are abuzz about the 17-song project. Coming in at approximately one hour, the project has elicited plenty of talking points in less than 24 hours. Kendrick Lamar pulled another “Control”-like move and got the rap world talking about his shots at Drake and J. Cole on “Like That” — which coincidentally overshadowed yesterday’s “Whole Time” freestyle from Big Sean, who originally put Kendrick on “Control.”

The Wilson family has experienced an exciting 24 hours. As Russell Wilson and Ciara walked the red carpet at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars Party, the couple confirmed Wilson’s forthcoming one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The agreement, expected to become official on Wednesday, comes on the heels of the quarterback’s release from the Broncos. Denver will continue to pay the 35-year-old $37.79 million next season despite his exit.
While NFL fans pondered what this move means for all parties involved, Wilson and Ciara partied the night away at the Oscars event hosted by Vanity Fair Editor-in-Chief Radhika Jones. Many of the couple’s fans say Ciara stole the show despite the football-related announcement.

In 2023 Gold Derby’s racetrack odds missed every general field category — surprises abounded! But this year our odds were spot-on in all four of those races, with Album of the Year going to Taylor Swift (“Midnights”), Record of the Year going to Miley Cyrus (“Flowers”), Song of the Year going to Billie Eilish (“What Was I Made For?”) and Best New Artist going to Victoria Monet. Still, there were 15 categories out of the 37 we were predicting where most of our users were expecting a different result. Did you see these outcomes coming?
SEE2024 Grammy winners list in all 94 categories
Best Pop Duo/Group Performance: “Ghost in the Machine” by Sza feat. Phoebe Bridgers
In recent years this award has gone to the biggest hit nominated. This year that was “Karma” by Taylor Swift and Ice Spice. And since Swift was also the front-runner for Album of the Year, we figured she’d take this too.

At 48, Killer Mike won three rap Grammys on Sunday and told the audience: “You cannot tell me you get too old. You cannot tell me it’s too late.”
Mike won best rap album for Michael, while his song “Scientists and Engineers” won best rap performance and best rap song. On Twitter, the Recording Academy accidentally announced that Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World” won best rap song, though it went to Michael‘s track, which features Andre 3000, Future and Eryn Allen Kane.
“For all the people out there that think you get too old to rap, bullshit. I don’t give a damn if you’re 78 rapping about how many gals you got in the nursing home, make sure we keep hip-hop alive,” he said during the Grammys pre-show held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The official ceremony will air later from the Crypto.

Playboi Carti is on a roll this January. Having recently dropped the single “BackR00ms,” his most recent collaboration with Travis Scott, the Atlanta rapper has now released a new song called “EvilJ0rdan.”
The track was accompanied by a video in which Carti, rapping in a messy kitchen with his durag shaped like the bunny ears from Mr. Bungle’s The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny Demo, sips out of a Hello Kitty-mug while his friends make it rain with stacks of cash on the counter.
