Ronni Hawk was just a child when her career in the entertainment industry began, and like many child stars her journey hasn’t always been easy. However, despite the ups and downs, she has managed to make the transition to adult stardom and she’s ready to show the world that she has what it takes to stick around. She is currently best known for her role in the Disney series Stuck in the Middle, but she has some new projects in the works that will likely introduce her to larger (and older) audiences. Hopefully, she will be able to join the

Warning: Spoilers for On My Block season two ahead!
As much humor and insanity is woven into the plot of On My Block's first season, the Netflix series also never shies away from the darker, tragic aspects of life in the rough inner city. Nothing sums up the coming-of-age teen drama's tone better than season one's cliffhanger ending, which wraps up with the elation of Jamal (Brett Gray) finally figuring out the Roller World mystery, just as Olivia (Ronni Hawk) and Ruby (Jason Genao) are shot at the former's quinceañera. Now that season two is here, we finally have an answer to the fates of all the characters, though some are more painful than others.
To put it bluntly, yes - Olivia is dead. Season two's first episode begins with a somber tracking shot through the neighborhood, focusing in on all the sidewalk memorials for young lives lost to violence in the area.

[Editor’s note: The following contains minor spoilers for “On My Block” Season 2.]
The stealth Netflix favorite “On My Block” returned for a second season last Friday, and according to its creators, they have many more years’ worth of story to tell. Which is good news for the loyal fanbase of the young adult dramedy’s central cast — Cesar (Diego Tinoco), Monse (Sierra Capri), Ruby (Jason Genao), and Jamal (Brett Gray) — as they grow up faster than they might like in a rough Los Angeles neighborhood.
The origins of “On My Block” began when long-time writing partners Eddie Gonzalez and Jeremy Haft met their co-creator Lauren Iungerich on the picket lines of the 2007 WGA Writer’s Strike. A few years later, after Iungerich had created the popular MTV series “Awkward,” she and Haft were having lunch. “She said to me, ‘You know, “Awkward” had so many fans that were kids of color. I want to do a show with kids of color.

On My Block recently released its 10-episode second season, and the Netflix dramedy definitely doesn't hold back. Similar to its first season, the new episodes follow four high school friends - Jamal (Brett Gray), Ruby (Jason Genao), Monse (Sierra Capri), and Cesar (Diego Tinoco) - and touch on the harsh realities of growing up in a rough inner city surrounded by gang violence. But that doesn't mean it's all doom and gloom.
"The show got kind of dark, so I'm excited for fans to see sort of the original tone creep its way back in," Gray admitted when I recently got the chance to chat with him about season two. "The gang is back together. We're all claiming the money. There's some fun stuff!"
True, much of the first season was full of levity before the dark season one cliffhanger that ends with Ruby and Olivia's (Ronni Hawk) lives hanging in the balance.

When I think about the fact it's been nearly a year since On My Block left us all to deal with a devastating cliffhanger in the season one finale, I'm honestly kind of impressed we survived this long without season two. Fortunately, we won't have to tough it out too much longer: the second season will hit Netflix in March!
Although the streaming giant has yet to give us an exact premiere date, the second installment of the teen comedy's arrival was announced along with all the other new titles coming to Netflix next month. Not too much else is known about what Ruby (Jason Genao), Monse (Sierra Capri), Cesar (Diego Tinoco), Jamal (Brett Gray), and Olivia (Ronni Hawk) will be up to in season two - or if they all even made it out of season one alive - but if the new episodes have even half of the sharp writing,...

“On My Block” viewers, prepare yourself for quite the roller coaster. The 10-episode first season focuses on Netflix’s new favorite demographic, young teens, but the stakes go far beyond the typical high school drama. And also it’s quite often very funny, in a way that leaves you disoriented, unsure if what you’re watching is a comedy or a drama, kid-appropriate or all too adult. It’s “Sixteen Candles” meets “The Goonies” meets “Boyz in the Hood,” sometimes all at once, and it is chock full of feels.
