Elia Lo Tauro is an actor known for Skyfall (2012) and Doctors (2000) and for originating the role of Santiago in the original West End production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical (Piccadilly Theatre) based on the 2001 Baz Luhrmann 's Film Moulin Rouge! and directed by Tony Award's Winner Alex Timbers.
Born in Sicily and raised between Italy and UK, Elia discovers his passion for acting with Gianni Salvo at the "Piccolo Theatre" in Catania, whereas in London he studies drama at IDSA(Identity School of Acting) and Rada.
He begins his career at a young age in Rome before landing roles in the London West End where He makes his debut at the Lyceum Theatre with "The Lion King" of Tim Rice and Elton John, directed by Julie Taymor. Elia's language proficiency ( English, Italian, Spanish) takes him to perform around Europe and UK. He plays roles such as Hook in Neverland, Cacambo in Voltaire's Candide and also stars in the Original West End Cast of On Your Feet (Coliseum Theatre) as Jose' Fajardo.
