Exclusive: Bobby Bones-fronted social experiment Snake In The Grass won’t be returning to USA Network.
The NBCUniversal cable network has cancelled the reality series after one season.
It comes after the broadcaster renewed Blake Shelton and Carson Daly’s Barmageddon for a second season after it became its best series premiere in nearly three years.
Snake In The Grass and Barmageddon were both part of USA Network’s latest unscripted slate, which was unveiled last May. The slate also included Race To Survive Alaska, from Deadliest Catch producer Original Productions, which is launching in April.
Snake in the Grass saw groups of four strangers who are dropped into the wild with a chance to win $100,000. In order to win, the team had to figure out which one of them is the Snake – a saboteur who is secretly undermining the group every step of the way.

“Survivor 43” contestant Owen Knight is a superfan that plainly says, “‘Survivor’ means a lot to me.” The 30-year-old college admissions director from New Orleans grew up watching the show every week with his family and says he daydreamed about seeing his name in the opening credits. Watch his full CBS interview below.
Proudly stating that he’s “been preparing for this for a very long time,” Owen explains that he’s “watched everything you could ever watch about ‘Survivor'” and “been working out a ton.” Adding, “It may not look like it, but these legs have some gas in them.” The three words he would use to describe himself are “Loyal, charismatic, passionate.”

Over 40 seasons, Survivor has accumulated a multitude of iconic players whose names have stuck in fans' heads over time. There are iconic winners like Sandra Diaz-Twine and Tony Vlachos and fan favorites who have come so close but never cinched the million dollars like Cirie Fields or Malcolm Freberg. Four-time player Ozzy Lusth falls into the second of those two categories. After his runner-up performance on season 13, Survivor: Cook Islands, Ozzy has returned three times, never quite making it to the end.

It cannot be said that any of his stints on the show were boring, though. Although Ozzy's strengths lie in the physical game more than the social one, he has become a quote machine for fans. These legendary Ozzy-isms come from all four of his seasons and range from comical put-downs to emotional reflections on his time in the game.

Hidden Immunity Idols have been a “Survivor” staple since Season 11, “Guatemala,” when Gary Hogeboom found the elusive token. Since then, idols are being used on a much more strategic level, with some finders even playing it on other people in the game. It is an added layer to the game that continues to make players even more paranoid than they already were, fearful of being blindsided by the finder. But who’s found the most idols on “Survivor”? Scroll down for the updated list.
Some “Survivor” contestants are dangerously good at finding idols. Once you find one, it generally becomes easier to know what to look for. Players like Russell Hantz, Tony Vlachos, Tai Trang, Rick Devens and Kelley Wentworth have all attained multiple idols in the same season. Not everyone plays their idol correctly, and some infamously fail to play them at the right time, resulting in their elimination.

“Survivor” superfans are currently hyped for the upcoming all-winners season, but it’s not always the case that the most popular contestant of the season is the one who wins. In fact, the audience tends to fall in love with those who just come up short of the $1 million prize, often more so than the champion. Players like Rupert Boneham, Cirie Fields and Joe Anglim will probably never win “Survivor,” no matter how many times they come back and try. Their likability is a double-edged sword — they’re genial enough to be safe through several Tribal Councils but once it gets toward the end, they’re too big of a jury threat to win. As we prepare for “Survivor: Winners at War,” here’s the ranking of our 16 favorite lovable losers we hoped would make it onto an all-winner season someday.

On Thursday, Et hopped on the phone with J.T., who went over some of his best lines from the episode -- telling host Jeff Probst things like "I've never been so excited" and "Some of us aren't quite game changers" just moments before his torch was snuffed -- and revealed why exactly he thought it was a good idea to head into tribal without his idol.

Survivor took its fourth victim on Wednesday night's episode, as fan favorite Malcolm Freberg was sent home.
In another Game Changers twist, Nuku and Mana were sent to tribal council after Tavua won the immunity challenge -- but only one castaway would be sent home.
Exclusive: 'Survivor' Castaway Caleb Reynolds on Bromance With Tai After 'Game Changers' Betrayal: 'He Had To'
With the numbers in favor of keeping all members of Nuku, the tribe just had to stick together and hope Mana didn't have a Hidden Immunity Idol... but that proved just a little too difficult. After whispering strategy through a discussion with Jeff Probst, both tribes ended up standing in huddles as they made their decisions on who to vote for.
Nuku settled on Sierra, while Mana decided on our favorite modern-day Fabio, whose fate was sealed after Tai guessed right, playing his idol for Sierra.

Pre-credit sequence. When we left things, Coyopa had just weakened a weak tribe by booting the otherwise unappealing John Rocker. "We weren't winning anyways, so..." Alec says. "Kudos to the team," says Baylor, who thinks they'll be better with John Rocker's attitude removed. Dale admits that he let his social game slide and suspects he's toast if they lose again. Dale had a social game at some point? In like flint. Monkey! Fiddling around near the fire pit, Natalie finds her tribe's missing flint, though lost since the first challenge win, which makes Jon feel a bit better about himself. Drew, however, laments the fishing gear they gave up for the second flint. But Drew, who learned nothing from previous negotiations with Jeff Probst, thinks he may be able to convince Probst to give them another shot at that fishing gear for one of their flints. Oh, Drew. You're a lazy fool.

To live up to that, Lang’s forced to be a huge prick as Increase Mather, and he gets right down to work the moment he gets back to Salem. First and foremost, he’s got to hunt out those witches,...

You can certainly put Tyson in a category with John Cochran, Jonathan Penner and Malcolm Freberg among the "Survivor" contestants who I always like talking to. Survivor Review, Season 27, Episode 14
“It’s My Night”
Airs Wednesday at 8pm (Et) on CBS
The challenge when analyzing Survivor is finding thrills when the finale reaches a predictable ending. This trend has happened frequently in recent seasons, with Malcolm’s exit from the Philippines being a rare exception. Even so, there’s still plenty to enjoy with Blood vs. Water’s conclusion. Tyson removes any doubts about a victory by taking the final two immunity challenges and choosing the right people. Underdogs like Ciera and Tina are too dangerous to face with this jury. Despite the editing focusing on Monica, she earns just one vote, and the rest go to Tyson. It’s hard to disagree with rewarding a guy who found two idols, built a solid alliance, and dodged stiff challenges from Hayden and Ciera. He’s come a long way from the goofball of the Tocantins or...
